I'm pretty sure somebody noticed his left hand not cool. When I first got my crossbow, I decided to unload a bolt in a 3/4 inch piece of plywood. Anyway, it went through the three quarter inch plywood through the first part of the door and stopped at the second part with a nice big hole, not a toy. Metal door!

Did he get scope bite from a crossbow? Maybe it’s way more powerful than mine, but the only time I’d think that could happen is if the limb caught soemthing. That’s one of the things I thought I thought may happen here.

The recoil should pull the scope away I’d think, I have 2 crossbows & don’t feel any recoil, but it makes sense to me that the momentum should pull it away not like a gun

mistkae, when you cocked the bow and put it on the table, the finger was above the string, dont let anyone call you stumpy
@JohnDoeEagle1
@JohnDoeEagle1 5 ай бұрын
How he loaded it too. You never put any fingers or hands inside that "danger triangle". Always load from the front of your uncocked string. Mark that area with a white or some other easily seen color if you have to. The manufactures should machine/engrave a groove and color fill a line on that part of the rest straight from the factory.

@@highlander200268 True! That's one of the pitfalls of the internet and big box store today with new shooters getting into both firearms and archery. Any idiot can flash a credit/debit card and be left all on their own to figure it out by themselves. Back when I started 42 years ago you had to buy at a local small mom and pop gun store/ sporting goods. They always gave plenty of tips, advice and basic training before they let you walk out of the store with your purchase if you were a greenhorn. Sadly many young kids already think they know everything and wouldn't be interested in learning or being properly taught anyway. At least go talk to someone you work with, a family member or close friends before attempting to go use your firearm or archery equipment to keep you safe and out of danger. It's not just the damage you can do to yourself, but other people around and other property damage for which you are held liable for should you do something dumb. Every time you see a stray bullet hole at the local gun club shooting range or see a arrow/bolt stuck in the siding of someone's nearby house or barn you know they did none of that prior. Had they had someone more experienced with them they would have said something and stopped/prevented it. "Hey....lookout...don't do that!" You know?!
