Hi there, I am currently making a documentary about my grandfather's life. He was a fairly famous zookeeper and worked for several years at the Catskill Game Farm. I was wondering if I could possibly use your Catskill footage with credit in the film if you're up for that?

We saw your video on Reyjavik where you rented a car at the cruise port. Can you share who you rented with? We have a 10 hour port day and your video halped us decide to rent a car instead of a bus tour.
@AdamPreset Жыл бұрын
Ah, we did make note of it. Europcar was the company. Pretty economical, relatively speaking, for one day, at least when we went. $157 according to the bill. I hear that there were two different ports Disney had used in Reykjavik, so you may want to try to verify proximity between where you dock and the location of the rental. I believe we walked from the ship but it took a few minutes. The drive was a great time and gave us a lot of control over the sightseeing. BTW, when we stopped for fuel, we filled up outside and then paid inside. No pay at the pump. Could be different now, possibly. I do not remember the price for gas, but it was higher than the U.S. at the time, and you can probably look that up. Glad you liked the video! www.europcar.com/en/car-rental/locations/iceland

How many hours was your tour?
@AdamPreset Жыл бұрын
8 hours, but in the past we did one that was 10.
@ivanial Жыл бұрын
oh ok, thanks for your reply! I just got this machine, and I like the brand but the disadvantage I see is with the water reservoir that does not detach so I can wash it out, its not like the other coffee machines that you take the water reservoir and wash it in the sink.
@ivanial Жыл бұрын
Hello, do u need to place a paper filter in it? Or is enough with the plastic funnel that comes in the machine?
@AdamPreset Жыл бұрын
We have used the gold filter that comes with the coffee maker successfully for many years and it works fine, but the cleanup is a little more work when you have to dispose of the used coffee grounds. Just recently, we have switched to disposable paper filters and the cleanup is much easier. Either way of doing it works.

How much should I tip? We have a vip tour in Nov. Thanks
@AdamPreset Жыл бұрын
We tend to tip a total of about $500. I think it’s pretty reasonable as a percentage of the tour cost. I also think about it on a per person basis if you have a large party of ten people and the total tip is divided up. The guides are working many hours. We tend to have them drive us back to our resort at the end of the tour also.
@AdamPreset Жыл бұрын
The other thing I have been told is “the standard” for a guide tip is the cost of one hour of the tour.

Thanks for the content question can you let players make a character sheet outside of the game?
@AdamPreset2 жыл бұрын
Yes, they could do this three ways at least. 1) They can follow the traditional rules and make a sheet on paper, then the keeper can give them a blank character sheet within the Roll20 game when ready to edit directly. They just transfer the values. Or 2) the player creates their own game on Roll20 just for themselves, making sure it’s set as a Call of Cthulhu game with the right character sheet. They then create a character and transfer it into the keeper’s game. See “Import and Export a Call of Cthulhu Investigator in Roll20 Using Character Vault” kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mseUn89y1MCdn4U.html. Or 3) What I do is have a special game space set aside just for new players and characters. I call mine Speakeasy. I create a bunch of blank character sheets and give access to All Players. I invite all the players to come in and follow the character creation process. When they’re done and I’m ready, I transfer their character sheets into the real game using the Transmogrifier feature or the Character Vault.

Did you stop for meals at all?
@AdamPreset2 жыл бұрын
Yes, we took one collective 45-minute stop for meals at the Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios after doing all the rides we planned for at that park. Then we left and powered through the other parks, but stopped for five minutes or so here and there a few more times throughout the day for drinks and snacks at various counter service or kiosk options we passed. And, finally, we ate ice cream sundaes while watching fireworks at the end.

I agree that this is a great coffemaker, the best I've ever had. First one I bought in 2006, and then after that stopped working in 2010, bought another. That one just bit the dust ... 2016. The bottom line is that it WILL eventually stop heating and percolating. BUT, when it does that, visit my video at kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNOEm7p328y1e4E.html and you will find out how to keep it going for another few years at least. The thermal limit switch component that fails can be replaced fairly easily and costs only a few dollars. Buying a new unit is rather senseless, and yes, the cost has gone up tremendously (now $150-200 from some outlets!) because I think they are (or have been ) phased out. So remember this when yours finally goes and find comfort that you CAN bring it back from the dead! ;)

can the usb wireless lan adapter be removed?
@AdamPreset9 жыл бұрын
I removed mine for some time. You just won't get software updates for the TV, nor will you be able to use any of the NetTV services integrated into the TV, like Netflix. If you don't need those, there is probably no harm in using the USB port for something else.
@lmedina17309 жыл бұрын
I just been having problems when watching Netflix and so I thought maybe this device was not working properly. Perhaps it could be my router or modem?

I have this same exact TV, I personally find it to be a waste calling it a smart TV. Its too slow and not very responsive. I am still happy with it though, spent around $500 for it and since I have my PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4 hooked up to it, I have no need for the TV's built in apps.
