does anyone have any idea how many of these high-end animals are actually sold at a show?

At the big expos the numbers are high: Tinley, Pomona, and Daytona. At the smaller shows, the prices are a lot lower. With rarer species, the market is world wide where trade allows it. Not that many breeders outside of ball pythons, from the numbers. Great question.

Another good reason you get hatchlings is you don’t know the snakes history weather it used to have any sickness or mites, if it’s a bad feeder and sometimes the seller may lie or be unsure of the genes in the snake

Great video. Many that have diy videos never have details, you covered everything. Have you ever had issues with snakes pushing up on the center of the bins and escaping? I am looking to do something similar for my baby, young and adult corn snakes. How has this rack been working for you? Thanks.

The gallery style, 40QT, tubs have locks/clips at six different locations. Until we get racks, we use those to make sure that they don’t escape. They are also clear, from the top, so you can see the snake inside a lot better. Good luck finding an escape-proof enclosure for your corn snake. Wish there were as many pattern morphs for them as there used to be. Thx for your feedback.

I've kept snakes since the 80's and getting care info back then was non existent pretty much. Most everything is wild caught then. Now, so many care guides, youtube reptile shows, it's awesome new keepers have so many resources. I'm more of a colubrid guy but I have a few BP's. I will say, you're the first person I heard use a baby scale, that's genius. After all these yrs even I'm still learning. Colubrids only work in a tub on a scale but great for BP's. Thanks

We used pvc cement to connect the pvc. We found it better to use the grout sealant to seal the paper matches. Thx for watching.🎉🎉🎉

For the desert ghost trait, they have identified two locations on there chromosome (allele) that produce the desert ghost pattern morph. There are three, B, but they found that it played a minor role, versus A and C. So if you purchase a desert ghost, ask the seller of the animal has both, or a single A or C. All this to say that my favorite ball python is a normal pattern. Thx for reaching out.
