We had St. Bernard's when I was growing up, they stayed in the barn, but when we let them run free, they would run to the lake, dive in, and raise the water level. Big dogs. But then come winter the lake would freeze, they'd skid across, flat on their bellies, giving us the most baleful looks for icing up their lake. Taking them to Lake Michigan, they always tried to catch the waves in their teeth, or jump over them, or just dive straight into them. I really miss those giant goofballs.

I totally agree with you! These aren’t just animals, they are family members, gifts from God. They deserve every chance to enjoy their lives. Our little boy was badly injured and we took him to the emergency hospital vet. They wouldn’t do anything until we paid upfront. I sold my Camaro and had the money to pay. He had surgery and the day they sent him home he died right in front of us from a blood clot they said. Over 10k but it was worth it. I don’t understand how people can abuse an animal. Ty for being an example of a good heart. And for sharing your story with everyone. ❤

What a cutie and so funny! I lost my 16 year old Pittie in February and I am still a mess. I miss her so much! She made hard days better and was always ready for hugs and kisses. For sixteen years she was truly the joy of my life.
