Beautiful! I can feel through the video the sense of belonging, for them Pantanal are their home. They are aware that who have the power for protecting this amazing place are them.

Thank you, GLP Films and mamita ... instead of only hearing the loudest gongs of shady politicians and their dinosaur-age policies It is good to hear the voice of sincere hope.

The Indonesian government must NOT be allowed to "develop" (is destroy) this destination like they did Bali just to make money. Tourism is very profitable and that means governments & businesses will destroy an area just to generate massive wealth. Look at Komodo Island 🏝. It's the only island in the world with Komodo Dragons. The Indonesian tourism industry destroyed that 1 million year old habitat to create 'Jurassic Park' - a dinosaur themed mass tourism construction 🚧 that now floods creates lots of money 💵 but also a lot of trash. So STOP blaming tourist when it's the responsibility of government and businesses to NOT develop habitats for short-term financial gain.

Overtourism would be a travesty to this paradise. So enjoyed Dian Gafar's narration.

Hi Javier, yes it is a location shared by both Argentina and Chile. During our expedition in 2017, we were filming on the Chilean side.

I actually rode in a damn bus on this road during a rainstorm back in 1997. Much of the road had large puddles, sections of mud, and at times streams that seemed to flow down the cliff, right across the road, and over the edge like a little waterfall. I got off and kissed the ground when it was over. A mother-daughter from Europe tipped the driver a fisftul of money. I'll never do it again as long as I live. I would however ride a mountain bike on it, as long as the road isn't washed out mud, like it was that day.

That sounds horrifying! Glad you made it out ok. Doing it on mountain bikes was harrowing enough.

The issues addressed in this video is still going on now and only getting worse due to climate change. As well as the large separation between low income/impoverished people & families and wealth off people. Food insecurity is a big issue.
