Awesome magazine changes while moving. How do you like shooting a 1911 compared to your striker fired? It seems like you did some serious dry fire drills as the magazine changes seemed very smooth.

i dont smoke cigars but i was under the impression they were always whole leaf, wouldn't stems like that be normal?
@ShooterSway4 ай бұрын
Exactly. They actually de-stem a large portion of the leaf, however, it's all done by hand. So it's not always perfect. Could also be a really thick vein that snuck through QC. However, as natural as stems are, they do not burn easily and often obstruct airflow. So doesn't hurt much to remove carefully, often times.
@AndrewsArachnids4 ай бұрын

If you’re a true cigar aficionado then putting you’re cigar out by smashing it into the ashtray is almost akin to sacrilege 😂 it’s called “Letting it Die with Dignity” simply just place the cigar in you’re designated ashtray and let it go out on its own. The whole concept of this practice revolves around the fact that premium cigars or most are hand rolled meaning someone physically took the time to make something beautiful for you to enjoy and it’s just about showing that mutual respect to that person regardless of not knowing who they are. But to each their own

@therockazoid17234 ай бұрын
@@ShooterSway Will do. Can you explain why it's a "dumb take?"
@ShooterSway4 ай бұрын
@@therockazoid1723 thanks for the response, i had a huge write up drafted, but closed the window on accident and lost it all 😡probably for the best. in short, "dumb take" in the sense that it implies that cops should not practice shooting fast or reloading fast. Everyone who shoots should have the proficiency to shoot fast and accurately, and also be proficient in weapons manipulation. I do not believe being a cop means you must be slow. In fact, they should absolutely train to be fast/accurate because it is through training this skillset you build (1) confidence, and (2) the ability apply the maximum level as needed - based on your training. If you do not train to this proficiency, then you simply will not be able to perform when the moment calls for it. Far too often, we see cops, in particular, shooting more rounds than necessary given the stress they're under. It's true that training is rarely 1 for 1 to live scenarios, but that's not to say training isn't effective. How you apply your training is up to you. That said, being able to draw, hit shots on target, reload as necessary, and re-engage as necessary are all skills worth having and not need, than need and not have. If I've misunderstood your comment, feel free to provide further context!

@@Anthonyuspsa in the meantime, work on making everything else quicker. Faster reaction to beep, faster to get gun out of holster, faster reloads. Can shave time off in those areas. With a 1.2s draw to shot and then .17s splits, you can hit a 2.05s bill. Then it's a matter of getting the first shot down to 1s and getting the splits down fractionally and your under 2s bill. Looking good. Do you think you have better results outdoors or does it matter for you?
@ShooterSway8 ай бұрын
loaded question. these indoor matches i tend to shoot more aggressively - like a playground to test certain things since I don't care as much about them. so the outdoor uspsa matches i go a little more try hard, so naturally, will do better. nevertheless, shooting wise it makes no difference. only discernable difference is actually my ability to see my fiber sights better at outdoor. i could wipe off the marker on the fiber so its brighter indoor, but not a big enough deal to care. so in short, no difference between shooting indoor vs outdoor. just warmer indoors lol
