The first self loading battle rifle to be invented and used in active combat was the Porfirio Diaz Mondragon Model 1908. Used in the Great War and invented by a Mexican general. An invention ahead of its time and the granddaddy of modern day battle rifles. The following is from google One of the first selfloading and semiautomatic rifles to enter in service and probably the most advanced infantry rifle of its time. And it made Mexico the first country to adopt a battle rifle.Sep

Anything other than the g43 or g41, due to their gas issues (a bit explosive)

yes, that's the real stuff for a man. You should stand slightly at an angle with the stock against your shoulder and not completely lock it up. Then it's less painful. This weapon is suitable for very long range.

Swedish Automatgevar has mags and stripper clips, great 6.5 cartridge, and is a nice size with good sights as well as reliable.

Damn everyone’s b*tching how the G43 needs clips to reload but won’t admit anything about the 7th round stoppage on the m1 or take into consideration your going to have to pick up those clips in long term fighting Not to mention the possible mishaps with reloading have fun getting garand thumb Bc it’s really easy to avoid in practice but when SHTF I want a gun that won’t chop my fingernail in half because I didn’t pass the QTE

M1 was the only WWII rifle that could accept rifle-grenades.... and all M1 parts were interchangeable........

I think you meant sme auto Because yea the k98k has rifle grenades, same thing with the mosin 91/30. But even the m1 carabine had it...

Just because of how underrated it is, im going with the Johnson 1941. I dont think its better than the M1, but i wish it got more representation.

From my experience from playing Hell Let Loose ( if any of you are WW2 buffs and happen to enjoy FPS video games I would say check it out or you’re really missing out) after using the Gewher43, M1 Garand & Carbine and SVT40 ..I’d really have to go with the M1 Garand in first place, tie between Gewher 43 and SVT, and likely M1 carbine last. but it’s only last because in the game I just personally have a hard time with the iron sights. Don’t laugh at me please I’m Canadian and our government is gay as hell and it would be near impossible to ever get to fire one of these weapons in real life lol
