Love big sky country, I didn't think it got so hot there usually you go high to cool off. Yacht vs RV which do you think is more problematic. Thanks again for sharing, Cheers 🥂🥂

This was the perfect choice for us! It does take longer to dry. I dry light weight things in the dryer pretty quick. We also have several items that I hang to dry. It does very well spinning to get the items pretty dry in the wash cycle. We do have a hygrometer to monitor the humidity in the camper. I have not noticed a big difference when washing clothes but keep a close eye on it.

You did hit the crown of the continent pretty early but it lets you see the waterfalls and miss the tourist hoards. West of the park is nice but you have to take hwy 2, south of where you are.

Because we have a travel trailer I kept the 6-ga double wires low that come out near the 2 1/2" Hitch. I made a jumper that came across to the outside battery box where the 6-ga jumper was installed with a second Anderson connector, the jumper was stored in the battery box when unused. The 2 batteries are unsude the front storage area to stay warm & dry. My Renorgy DC-DC charger is mounted in the ceiling of the pass through storage next to the charge controller. My main issue is my pins in the Anderson connectors (4 connectors total) were randomly vibrating apart dispute my best hydraulic crimping efforts. I am still figuring out if I am using too many unknown Chinese components from tool to potentially knockoff parts, but I never had that issue before. Anyway, now we are upgrading from out GD Imagine to the Brinkley Z2900 so your vudeo was timely. Unless I move the Anderson connector insude like you did I will slso consider installing one at the battery box vent on the face of the 5W to come in that way with a magnet wire holder up st the Gen-Y pinbox for the jumper. I will have 4+ months in FL this winter to work on that project among ithers. Thanks for the inspiration. Be8ng a firmer ale tronic technician & test engineer snd ham radio nut, this stuff is more fun to play with than a real job ... Now uf my 63 year old body will cooperate, lol. Thanks, Davey

How did you get the 50Amp shore power cord from the breaker panel to the pass through? Did you pull it from the panel with existing wires?
@SunBumsAdventures1
@SunBumsAdventures1 3 ай бұрын
If you have a Brinkley, they have a pre run generator wire that runs from the converter ( but no hooked up to it) to the front storage area. So I took the breaker panel wire and wired it to that, which then I hook up to my Victron muti plus invertor that was next to that pre run wire in the front storage area. I then ran a wire from the Victron invertor to the braker panel by going up over the mid pass thru storage. Hope that made since !
@holylick5522
@holylick5522 3 ай бұрын
I’m guessing that there is a junction box not far from the where the generator prep box is. The shore power cord coming in go all the way to the breaker panel? I thought that you had hooked your shore power to the inverter through the generator prep. What I don’t understand is how you got the power coming out of the inverter all the way to the breaker panel in the RV. Does I have to run all the way to the breaker panel or is there a junction box in between? Hope I’m making sense. Thank you for your help.
@SunBumsAdventures1
@SunBumsAdventures1 3 ай бұрын
@@holylick5522 You are correct ! you have to run separate wires back to the breaker panel from the inverter. I just bought another 50amp camper cable, cut out what I needed. I had about 10 feet of that cable left over so I re-crimped the leftovers and now I have about a 10 foot 50amp extension cord. And yes, there is a front junction box in the front storage area and a junction box by the converter. I didn’t need the junction boxes and remove those..
@holylick5522
@holylick5522 3 ай бұрын
Okay, so did you take wires out of that junction box and use that to pull your new power cord back to the breaker panel?

@@holylick5522 Buy a splice box from Explorist life ….cut the 6/4 line from where u plug in from shore power to panel box( some where it makes sense ) run new wire from that point to inverter on the out side then take the inverter ready wire connect it to the in side of the inverter and use the other side of the splice box to connect the other cut 6/4 wire from the in line…..slice box makes it much easier…..hope that helps

What has Brinkley said why you having condensation issues to begin with?
@SunBumsAdventures1
@SunBumsAdventures1 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! We are not having any condensation issues or mold issues. We are just taking preventive measures since a few others have been having issues. We are making the same changes that Brinkley is implementing such as the extra insulation and the bed side vents. We have been full timing in the Brinkley since Jan and have not had any problems at all with condensation.

Hi, how have your ACs been working? Ive seen alot of mixed reviews, especially when it comes to the bedroom unit.
@SunBumsAdventures1
@SunBumsAdventures1 3 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! We love the newer AC in the rear of the camper. The AC in the bedroom is fine. We don't really have any complaints. We mostly run the AC in the rear of the camper and it keeps us cool. When we do run the bedroom AC it is just for a few minutes to get it cooled down. The bedroom one is louder that the rear AC.

Have you run the main air conditioner overnight with the batteries? if so, for how many hours the batteries last at night with the AC?
@SunBumsAdventures1
@SunBumsAdventures1 4 ай бұрын
We had it running for about 5 hours but also had the Starlink running which is a power hog. We kept it on 73ish for about 5 hours one afternoon. It took the batteries down to about 60%.
@JavierRivera
@JavierRivera 4 ай бұрын
@@SunBumsAdventures1 I asked because I also have 4-SOK 206ah but I haven’t tested the AC yet. I just installed the Easystart at the main AC and a 50amp Transfer Switch to power the whole panel with the inverter so I can run the AC at night at some occasional overnight stop. I just realized that you ended with 60% after 5yrs because you have multiple solar panels recharging and it was on afternoon. I only have 1 panel. That is why I asked if you have tried the Ac at night when the panels are not collecting energy.

I just checked out if airbnb had any listings in the cayman islands. They did! From 75 a night to 1000 a night. Just a suggestion for next time. It seems ridiculous to me that in a place where any old park bench would suffice for a night the price of a hotel room could be 600 bucks.
