If I had a time machine I would go back to the 1970s and never come back.

It's a bit depressing but all those beautiful young girls will now like me be in their late 60s or early 70s.

I will admit, back in 1974 I made the mistake of listening to some classmates, who said " Slade Sucks". Here I am 50 years later. Rockin out to Slade. Better late than never.

They were clowns! Like the Bay City Rollers! The chicks were cute but that's about it! Their music sucked! Zeppelin blew them off the planet!
@stephenhill89912 ай бұрын
Obviously never been to a Slade gig back in the 70's then? Nod's voice is on different planet compared to Robert Plant's. Bonham was a great drummer for sure. The Holder/Lea songwriting combination was never matched by LZ offerings.
@christopherdean13262 ай бұрын
Hardly aiming for the same market! Zep were for the "serious" music fans, Slade were for people who wanted to have a bit of fun. Personally, I wouldn't cross the road to see Led Zeppelin, but I would give anything to be able to see Slade at their height.

And don't compare Slade to BCR. Slade wrote their own songs and weren't manipulated to conform!
@marc-andrebrun89422 ай бұрын
are you joking? on stage, slade was far better than led zep; Noddy Holder is a real front man, instead of Page, just a studio ghost player scared on stage.
