Thanks for watching! This was at the New Jersey Hustle Congress, and their DJ was mixing so it's likely some remix he customized. Our Shazaam didn't find it. We think the DJ thought it would make for a good slow blues song (as some slow blues dance tunes are in 6/8), but this one was distinctly a waltz. The DJ must have realized as they faded out rather quickly...

Actually, she is doing the mirror image...Dawn is so talented that she is doing the routine with the opposite side so when you do it along with her, you are doing the correct side as if you're looking in a mirror. Then, later in the video she does it facing away too...switching to doing it on the correct side! Isn't she super talented and thoughtful? If she only taught facing away, then you wouldn't be able to see the arm styling and articulation from the front. And if she demonstrated from the front view without making the mirror-image adjustment it would be confusing for you to. So, this method by Dawn is quite perfect. Thanks for watching!

Hi Jim, sorry you feel that way. The roles are Leaders and Followers, so not sure what the issue is in using those completely accurate terms. If your issue is with gender roles, the reality is that in classes we teach not just at the studio but at conventions and workshop weekends around the world there are a lot of ladies leading and men following. If you have a suggestion of language to use, please go ahead and make it. But for now, we find "leaders" and "followers" as most appropriate and accurate.

You guys are the best, you make it so easy to learn because you take your time to show the steps and you repeat the steps over and over of each lesson from different angles I love your how-to videos. I like to add that i look at another video's, most of them talk more than teach which makes it boring, they talk too much. You do it just right, little talk clear to the point. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.

Yes, LOVE that song. Not what one would traditionally Hustle dance to, but we think it makes for a wonderful lyrical Hustle! Hope Damien has other songs with a similar vibe and beat!

@MayIHaveThisDance He does. You could slow dance to the song love notes. He has a faster song called just dance that will really get you moving. And another one with a similar tempo to Phoenix called Bermuda Triangle. Oh and also listen to Taboo by Damien Escobar, that one I know you will feel
