Hi, I was wondering. Did it read correctly after you added fuel? I just instaled the digital gauge on to my customers kit car. Problem is there is no calibration or reset button, the tank is half way full but gauge reading full. And when it should read empty it reads 55% It definitely working, I removed the floater and when moved slowly you can see the reading changing. Its just way off. 🤔🙈 Any idea?
@petters1969Ай бұрын
Yes, you'll need the Autometer fuel bridge from Summit Racing, to correctly calibrate the the after market fuel gauge to correctly work with what ever float system you are using. The video about the entire fuel system I posted will hopefully help. My gauge reads correctly as it has been calibrated with the fuel bridge.....the video is at the link here, Go to 9:30 of the video as I talk directly about the fuel bridge and how it works... kzfaq.info/get/bejne/mdCdo6qWxK21e40.html Thanks for watching.....

That is pretty cool. I never knew these had zinc in the sheet metal. Seems like such a small thing that would go a long way to rust problems on modern vehicles too. Fact that modern components fit on this turn it into a nice sleeper, and yes I love the interior as well.

Yes I love the fact that this is a great sleeper, except for the scoop on the hood but people probably won't even notice as I pull up beside them...Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate the feedback.....

My first car was a baby blue w/ white top 1980 T-bird. As I am older now I always keep an eye open for one that is good shape to restore. Even though I believe the LS is a better engine, I would probably prefer to do a coyote swap. I would love to see what kind of numbers your car is laying down at the track.

Curious what's the metal grating in front of the Dr rear tire. I have a major love for this car. I had the Same year, same interior, same colour, same white vinyl roof as my first car. Now 25 years later I've been looking for a decade for a good decent priced example to do exactly what you did here. Keep up the great work.
@petters1969Ай бұрын
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback. The expanded metal on the lower rockers, tie back into the sub-frame connectors and the spaces are filled with an epoxy. This system adds significant structural stiffness to the chassis and greatly increases traction and the cars performance. I did not want an obtrusive cage in the car to achieve what I have created with this system of stiffening. Thanks for watching and commenting.....

What did you do to the plugs ?
@petters1969Ай бұрын
Cleaned the tips with emery cloth and corrected the gap as out of the box they were between .045" to .050", to big for a turbo engine. I believe I gapped them to about 0.025"........The engine light did go out , but I would suggest new plugs every 70k to 80k.....properly gapped of course.
