Interesting...did your pattern instructions not include pockets?? The pack I bought includes them! And thank goodness because I'm still a total newbie and appreciated having the pieces and instructions. For me personally, having only really made a pillow case and a tote bag, this was an intimidating but doable project. I had tried V9075 before this but only got as far as the mockup and decided I didn't like doing sleeves just yet, lol, so V9100 ended up being the perfect project! I really appreciated getting to watch this video before starting in, and watching it again now that I'm almost done (months later because... procrastination 😉) I think I _may_ be brave enough to follow your method with the lining and straps for dress number two, but we'll see haha. Thanks so much for sharing!!

Thanks for this .... i actually only bought a belt from them came a million weeks later but came. Its ok/ doable and i was concidering buying some of the clothes from them but saw this video and one other warning me about this company so i decided not to buy any more from them.

Beautiful dress - it looks great on you, not maternity at all! Also find a good acupuncturist trained in China and get acupuncture for your headaches - it really does help, cut mine and my sister's headache days by more than half - maybe 3/4.

The dress is pretty. I think you'd like it better if you hadn't gathered the ruffle part at the top. Think if it would have been cut in a way like a circle skirt you probably would have loved it. I know you could've because the ruffle direction prevented you to cut it that way.

The pattern ahouldve given you a giant puff aleeve, to allow for mobility. The modern sleeves put too much pressure on the zip. Also, why these would've had ties only on bodice back, not the skirt, to allow extra movwment. You did amazing, its gorgeous!

Nice job. I’m 69 years old. If you want to make your dress more vintage authentic always put in at least a 2” hem. Fabric was not spared in the old days and it had a more luxurious feel.

I was just on Retro Stage website and took a minute to look up KZfaq videos of people reviewing the clothes before i go and waste my money on something not good. Thank you for your review. I definitely have zero interest in entertaining a company that takes photos from other websites etc so i will not be buying from them now. Its so sad that they do this. Some of the dresses i thought were absolutely beautiful.
