@@stuffyoucando2I noticed, in the video, you stopped deflating before the horn tooted. Why?
@stuffyoucando210 күн бұрын
@@lucashack5318 I didn’t. Air was still being removed from every tire when the horn sounded. You can hear both the air and the horn clearly. The first tire I did start to unscrew the tool as it sounded but was still removing air.
@lucashack531810 күн бұрын
@@stuffyoucando2 how long does it take one tire before the horn sounds?
@stuffyoucando210 күн бұрын
@@lucashack5318 it can vary, as you can see in the video some took longer than others. Are you actually getting it into training mode? You also need to make sure that air is coming out at a decent rate, if it sits there a long time without seeing air removed it will time out.

@stuffyoucando214 күн бұрын
There should be no need to adjust that, and there really is no way to. When you bought it, did you buy it for the correct tank? I believe there are differences depending on year and cab size.

I have the 2017 Honda Ridgeline rtl-e all wheel drive I bought sway bars stabilizer bars off rock Auto same brand for all four the back went great but the shop didn't do the front because they said the sway bars were to long I got underneath and measured them and they seemed like half an inch to an inch to long is this common we're you have to put some pressure on the lower control arms to get them in are did they send me the wrong part makes no sense whatsoever that the backs went right in but the fronts were to long when they were all the same brand
@stuffyoucando214 күн бұрын
If you don’t jack up both sides, there will be tension on the sway bar, I mention this around the 0:45 second mark of the video. As for the lengths, I can’t explain the difference for you why the mevotechs, would be longer. I used Moog in this video and on my earlier Pilot and they were correct. I suggest contacting the manufacturer. Overall they will likely work fine, but will slightly change the sway bar angle, which ideally should be close to horizontal when sitting on flat even ground.

Hey are you supposed to put in an additive with the fluid? A car shop told me they put in “slip additive” when I was calling around. Have a 2009 f150 if that makes a difference
@stuffyoucando217 күн бұрын
I’m not sure why you’d want that additive in a transfer case, it shouldn’t be needed for this application. That’s usually for rear axles with a conventional limited slip differential. This video is for the 4WD transfer case.

So glad I found this. Hopefully you can help me with some ideas about my 96 4.0 ranger. I don’t want to put a tone of money in it but want some more power. The engine is getting a little tired so I’m thinking of a rebuild, however I was wondering is there any bigger motor out there that swaps well?
@stuffyoucando220 күн бұрын
The easiest swap would be to swap in a 2001+ Ranger 4.0 SOHC engine. It still wouldn’t be just a drop in process though as there would be wiring and fuel system differences. The ‘96-‘01 Explorer 5.0 V8 is also reasonable to do as well.

For the most part everything is mostly applicable, though wiring did change in the later years for some things, such as the vehicle speed sensor which moved from the transmission to only using the rear axle sensor. Parts wise, pretty much the same thing.

In my experience to run on pure diesel you have to close the carb fully with your hand to prevent any air from getting in, than once it starts let it run a bit and get warmed up and once it’s warm it should run all day on diesel.

@stuffyoucando2Ай бұрын
At 0:50 I recommend loosening it first to make sure it’s not stuck, which is the whole point. Removing it entirely is not necessary unless you’re in so much of a hurry that the extra few seconds you’ll save by it draining a tad faster matters to you.
@ginaford36792 ай бұрын
Just tried this repeatedly today. Did exactly what you said. The prompt said to begin to train first tire, drivers side front. Did that until horn beeped. Went to check to see what dash said and it says training unsuccessful and to repeat. We tried to let more air out again but nothing. Then we filled the tire back up and started the process all over again with the driving 20 for 2 minutes. After getting the horn to beep again in the first tire it says same thing. Training unsuccessful. Any ideas? Just a girl trying real hard here lol.
@stuffyoucando22 ай бұрын
How long did it take for the horn to beep while you were letting air out? It may have been timing out while waiting. I recommend making sure you’re fully depressing the valve stem core to make sure air is coming out as fast as possible. What is the reason for needing to perform the procedure? Did you have new sensors installed or just a tire rotation, etc?
@ginaford36792 ай бұрын
@@stuffyoucando2 it’s been like this since the winter. Just not had an opportunity to try to reset. I believe it could have happened after our last service at the dealership when we got our tires rotated. The sensor didn’t go off right after the rotation though. We do not drive it often it is used mainly during camping season. It’s a 2017 with just 36,000 miles. I am using just the tire pressure gage to release the air and it does take a long time for the horn to blow once we start letting air out of tires. I appreciate any help.
@stuffyoucando22 ай бұрын
@@ginaford3679 I think you should try using a different method to let the air out, like a small flathead screwdriver to push in the stem to help it get out faster. If that doesn’t work then it sounds like you need to replace your TPMS sensors, they are getting up there in age on a 2017.
@ginaford3679Ай бұрын
