Cool video. I’m in the process of making a pair of short fantasy scimitars from a piece of angle iron right now. I’m using th angle iron they use for making brick ledges above garages. It’s kinda garbage metal, but these are only going to be display pieces. The angle iron in using is much thicker and wider. One tip I would give you is that if you clamp the angle iron down with the angle up like a tent, you can cut straight down the angle much easier and you get two equal width pieces so you can double your usable output. Keep it up

All that fabrication to make a $60 power-tool into a near-useless Rube Goldberg curiosity? It may have been much less trouble to go to the Chinese factory and wreck it over there.

Thank you for the video...We usually need this tools for car repairing and they may fail down when loading or working. I suggest you to make a top and it would be a case..

Nice tutorial on how to spend several hours making sure your drill press never drills a hole at 90° ever again. Seriously though, this was a fantastic use of all the crystal meth in whatever county you live in. Jokes aside, the basic idea you were going for isn't bad; with some proper welds, better fabricated parts, and more thought into maintaining the balance and rigidity of the structure (plus a head unit actually worth putting all the work into to begin with lol), this could be a decent way to upgrade an old machine. With some more practice, the creativity used in designing and recording this can be put towards a lot better used. Good luck, keep it up!

Good quality cobalt drill set is needed here, plus better welding. Music was harder to listen to than watch a pointless modification.

Seemed like a heck of a lot of sizes of drill bits to make all those holes! I got like 5 sizes that's about it.. using normal drill would kind of mess up the look for me when you get to the bottom and to buy a full set of bits would kind of defeat the object for me as a DIYer with OCD lol 😅🤦🏻 Came out nice though mate I need to make something like this now actually.. weird this came up! 👍

Stop talking about the drill head tilting,it's the only static item when working on items, the item you can/are/will be drilling is dynamic and many times is far hard to tilt/yaw/pitch so moving the head around is far better. On a different note, if you can move the head, when clamped it needs to have no movement, and I wouldn't trust that bolt on clamp due to the shyte metal used in the thing. Good idea though.

The pallet buster is a good tool if you have nice easy pallets or plasterboard pallets. Do not try it with euro pallets or heavy duty ones it does not touch them as these pallets have at least 70 to 90 4 inch nails in them.
