Great advice! I've listened to many 20+ year contractors complain about how the ICC is "rigged" because they failed the exam. The reality is that there's a 90% fail rate because experienced contractors often believe their way is the best and that the code should match their 'best' practices. This mindset is flawed. As a general contractor with over 20 years of experience, I always keep my IRC book in my truck for reference. When I see a subcontractor doing something that won't meet code requirements, I refer to the book. Yes, sometimes they get upset, but I don't. This approach ensures I'm not losing money and they can continue making money on future contracts. It's a win-win, even if it bruises a few egos along the way.

If the fence is parallel to the blade and the guide bearings are tuned in I never experienced any drift. The power feeder created a very nice result!

Against the house where the sides of the shed meet, what did you do for the small gaps since the siding is rigid?

Very nice, I am interested in what kind of wood movement there will be, or how you accounted for that?
Did you ever remove the drums? What was the part number on that transmission filter? Looked like a Baldwin.

I'm doing this job for the first time and starting on my second injector after watching someone else's instructional video but you both put them back together oriented differently then you took them apart.... I'm not sure if I should take the first one back out and swap it or continue assembly the way you show 😥

@bad89coupe so when you take something apart your supposed to put it together the exact opposite way? Ok gotcha 🤪
@bad89coupeАй бұрын
@@mattm3492 You could have just said, show me. But instead you want to act like a clown. So answer me this, at 6:56 in video when you lift off the plate, the drainback notch in the base is opposite the clamp "flat side" you refer to it as. Which is the direction of the connector, the top side, which makes sense because that's the bottom. But at 35:30 in the video, you line them all up with drain back notch at the top.
Very Nice Work, I am in my 70s retired Englishman living in France, I used to have my own specialist joinery business back in the UK, And over the years I think I have made literally hundreds of doors all handbuilt and specialist windows wind, mainly barn conversions. So doors and windows were at unusual sizes, Most of my doors that I’ve made over the past years, I’ve been at least 3 inches thick, And I’ve been fitted with high security euro locks , I wish you all the success for the future, keep up the great work,

I would love to see or hear how this door held up after 4 seasons of exposure. I would have been scared to apply the finish you did and not use a stave core, but I know a lot of times we over exaggerate the effects of wood movement and the environment. Plus all wood interior or exterior needs maintenance it’s simply a question of how frequently and how labor intensive that process is. Any updates?
