This brings tears to my eyes. My Dad devoted his entire life to making these incredible machines a reality so that people could be together. While this MD-80 would be considered an old airplane by people in the aviation industry, we should still recognize that this vehicle is an amazing accomplishment of humankind, and we have only incrementally been able to improve on it since it was first produced. The sheer power of these JT8D engines is a spectacle of human achievement like no other.

Byłem tam . Niedziela,polski samolot jako jedyny w ciagu dnia ,a był to ostatni samolot pokazów dostał takie brawa.Jedyny.Nie powiem,byłem dumny.Co prawda ,helmuty ,jak usłyszeli jezyk polski ,a było nas kilku z aparatami ,rozstąpili się przy barierach i mieliśmy dobre miejsce, to klaskali za pokazem naszego mig-a.Podczas holowania samolotu trzymali tasiemki przed samolotem,aby nikt nie nadział sie na odbiornik ocp,lub przeciwwage, rozmawiałem z technikami ,byli z Mińska,pilot kpt Adrian Rojek .

The JT8Ds in the MD80s series were a bit more tame vs the older ones on the DC-9s and 727 and 737-200s

One of the best fighter designs in history, when it was new this plane gave the West a lot of fear. Its outclassed electronically now and very hard to fight with now that AA solutions are SO good, but it can still 1 on 1 dogfight with in my opinion any other fighter except for the F-22 (even then if it can get a good first turn it can possibly still gun down the 22). My favorite of all time is the Su-27, but the MiG-29 is a very close second.

Excellent video. Audio quality is remarkable! Good job! Too bad they don't make them like this anymore... It is all silent, ecofriendly and boring nowadays. At least it is for a good cause
