You put a ZJ fan clutch on an XJ! CAn I do it to my 1993 4.0 XJ? If so, do you have the part number for it? I'm trying to cool down a lil more!

It is impossible for the jeep to run too cool with a functional thermostat. Sounds like you were either running too cold or a thermostat or not one at all. Running too cold of a thermostat can make it run warm also

Can confirm that the hood moving around is just how they are. My current '11 does it, so did my '94. But the 94 never squeaked like my '11 does. You're right it is embarrassing and was making me nuts. I'll definitely try this on the weekend!

Thank you so much. You just solved my problem. I couldn't find out what was wrong. My car was sitting in storage for the winter. Had the same problem as you. All l had handy was WD- 40, but it worked. I was so nervous because l didn't want an expensive repair. Thanks again. What an easy fix.

12:30 look at the date code on those white walls, I bet they are the original times, look how clean those headlamps are... It's for sure 9,000 miles....also the fact that someone bought the front seats tells you they was still like new and worth buying...

Is there any wood grain leather wrapped steering wheels that the p71 police interceptor can take? Stupid question prob but I just bought my first interceptor and I’ve always wanted a wood grain wheel!

Food for thought... I found a significant fuel economy increase was by putting in a new fan clutch...(suspecting that it was worn/ not running as 'free' as it should be turning) big dia.fan = exponential drag ...picked up 5mpg just like that!! It is a fairly low price investment for that fuel money saver...powerband was stronger too...

These GM body styles were pretty much bullet proof. They were very reliable, time tested midsize comfortable vehicles. Celebrity, 6000, Ciera, Century. Get the V6 engines, not a 4 banger. The Olds and Buick could be sold in more plush luxury versions.

If the Crown Vic ever returns, it would probably be much closer to the Falcon which was sold only in Australia and New Zealand and was the last Ford vehicle to be built in Australia when production ended in 2016. Like the Crown Vic, the Falcon was full-size, offered only in RWD and was a popular option for police cars and taxis until the end of production. However, there are some differences; the Crown Vic always shared the same chassis and had a ladder frame, an SRA and a column shifter, dating back to its 1978 introduction and was offered exclusively with an automatic transmission whereas the Falcon’s chassis changed through generations and the last generation had a unibody, an IRS and a console shifter and all generations were offered in both automatic and manual. As for the engine, the Crown Vic was always offered exclusively with a V8. The Falcon, on the other hand, had I6 and V8 engine options for most generations. Both engines were common options in many American cars until the mid-1980s.

Well bud .... within one minute you're already wrong. Ford fixed the intake manifold issue in 2003. If you were incapable of taking that manifold off by yourself then I don't think you're quite qualified to be telling us anything. If every bolt cooperates it's a stupid easy job that takes maybe 2½ hours start to finish.....I don't trust a guy trying to teach me about his car when he doesn't work on his own stuff . I don't care who you are. It's like a person telling you all about equine training when they've never even been around a horse.
