Is there a plan for Nutanix to open source their cloud plugin?

Great webinar ! You need to include network discovery. All current scripts are almost impossible to integrate, rendering netbox a very hard solution to automate or simply hand work. I’m looking into integrating paid license to my company but it’s just proving hard to use in a more automated manner.

Garrett literally stood behind me while I pasted configs into firewalls and switches asking all sorts of really hard to answer questions. Each question was preceded by the self-deferential, "Can I ask a stupid question?" They were never stupid questions. My own networking skills were really sharpened because when I hit a topic I couldn't explain to him, I realized I didn't know that topic well enough and needed to do some more research so I could properly train him.

If you are running several (standard or distributed) virtual switches inside your ESXi Hosts and Clusters (e.g. for separating management, backup and payload traffic), you may also want to add this virtual infrastructure to Netbox, including virtual and physical cabling. This is especially interresting, when it comes to troubleshooting and tracing your VM connections. I haven't tried yet, but I'm pretty sure, this can be handled perfectly as well in Netbox. Additionally it would be a nice challenge to also automate import/sync of virtual switches.
