Can you try on some clothes please to show how non-normal people can still use normal people clothes?

This is so eye-opening! I have been struggling with this recently, where I hear and learn things and feel terrible about not incorporating that into my life immediately. But it's all a process and who says we need to incorporate EVERYTHING we learn? Thank you for this!

@@emilyhartman1024 of course! I love your perspective and insights. I started my KZfaq wanting to share my own journey and thoughts as I have navigated marriage and motherhood and it’s so nice to find a creator I feel like is in a similar season! 💖

I love this idea. Video Request: maybe you can map out the steps you took to start shifting back to less screen time. Or explain what your daily rhythm looks like. I’m in that process right now. After a serious injury & surgery our rhythms were flat & I relied on that tool also. I think I’ve created a monster in my little guy. They’ve gotten a hold of KZfaq & space out to hours of someone playing video games or recreating horrifying animations of their favorite characters. 😬 I am so mortified that I’ve allowed it. All while lecturing them & sometimes yelling at them, followed by deleting KZfaq from the TV only to reinstate it a week later for myself or for playing music & we’re back in. I need help! They’re 8 & 4. I should just delete it & grow up, right?

Thank you so much! That’s actually a really good idea, thank you for that. First of all, if your rhythms shifted to more screen time, then they can shift to less if that’s what you want! There’s got to be a way. Not that it will always be easy. A couple thoughts that come to mind: is there any way you could use your phone or a speaker for music? I know that would make it harder if mine knew how to work the tv. 😂 Also, is there a way you can kind of blend what they enjoy watching/playing with a non-screen related thing? Like an audiobook or a kid’s podcast on Spotify or something like that? And finally, do you happen to have easy access to outside or some sort of water play? That’s definitely when mine are the most creative and relaxed.

Random- Do you live near your family? I find it hard being with my little ones not living in the same state as my family. Yet, everyone else seems okay being far removed.

For the majority of my kids’ lives, we’ve lived near family. Living close has made a huge difference for us for sure. As they get a little older and with this being my third pregnancy, I’m not sure that living near family is going to be a non-negotiable forever if that makes sense!

I'm pregnant with our first, and I clicked this video because I wanted to make sure I have a good, healthy mindset going into motherhood. This was a very peaceful listen, if that makes any sense. You did a very good job explaining and talking about the necessity of being curious. That's something I've just started to look into, listening to the positive thoughts and taking action on them instead of trying to find the perfect, most productive thing I could possibly do and then getting stuck in analysis paralysis. Thank you for this.
