The extra skill and training needed to do the Anterior approach could explain why my two Doctors from two different Hospitals one on 8/5/23 and the other on 30/4/24 The first Doctor was nearing retirement age and the second Doctor was probably early 40,I had both Posterior approach.

Is it harder to recover from reverse shoulder surgery if you have already had a plate and screws put in to fix a humerus fracture and it was not realized at the time that the rotator cuff was also torn?

I had my left medial partial replacement on 08/17/2023. I would recommend this surgery when pain is very severe. It requires more expertise for partial replacement.

2nd comment: I was diagnosed with spinal stenosis in my 50s. Had no problems except some numbness in my left thigh; that would subside when kicked, or pulled the knee toward chest. Was a regular jogger & bicycle rider until 2021. Now have some numbness in feet. Can walk well on level ground, but carry a walking stick for when needed. Still walk, do tai chi (not like I used to) have also taken up G’kong. And sit to much. Am 86 now and think I’d be a good candidate for the MILD procedure. (Foot note: All the bad stuff happened a week after my 2nd jab of Covid vaccine)

Are there other places where this MILD procedure can be done? Like California & west coast?

What would the underlying arthritis be to be a candidate for surgery ? I have a labral tear I already had a hydrocortisone shot and I was pain free for 1 month. I saw a specialist at USC hospital for an arthroscopic surgery , but I was told that surgery was not recommended since I have mild arthritis and labrum is not to thick that surgery might not help and that in the future I would still need a complete hip replacement . Im 53 but I don't want the full hip replacement since I was told by my primary chiropractor that it last about 25 years and I don't know if I would be strong enough to have another surgery . As of now my hip locks after been siting for long time and every other day it clicks I also tried pt but didn't help much. Any suggestions out there anything would be helpful.

As someone who is facing trigger finger surgery there is NO WAY I would do this, I couldn’t even watch the video without feeling nauseous. I now know the first question I am going to ask before choosing my Dr. so I can make sure this isn’t the only way they will perform this surgery. This is a hell no for me.

Fantastic video, dealing with all relevant facts regarding partial knee replacement. I had my done on NHS 4 days ago after waiting 18 months (discounting 2 years of covid, when i could not even join the queue). I am 65 years old, BMI of 28, mostly because i could barely walk and drunk too much beer and wine to forget my problem. I am amazed by the results. Out of hospital next day, although i was good to go same day. I only take one crutch to go down the steps in the house as an insurance really. I could do five 10 minutes walks on 2nd day post surgery. On 4th day i had done one 30 min walk, going on another one soon and doing 3rd one in the evening. I can stretch my leg completely flat and bend it to 100 deg with 80 deg without even thinking about it. So my range of craft beer bars i can get to in London grows every day 😊 Lets hope my progress continues so i can get full knee replacement of my other leg. My surgery was robotically assisted but i have no idea what system was used. I wish everyone on here speedy and full recovery. And don't play tennis on hard courts and ski hard moguls if you are oldish and overweight. That is how i ended up on operating table.

what are your thoughts for a partial knee replacement on lateral compartment of knee. I have little to no cartlidge in this part of right knee I have no known ligament issues. I have been told that partials on lateral side are not very successful. was told by surgeon who did last meniscus work that other compartment of knee looked good. I am 68

Thank you sincerely for the effort and for what seems like excellent information, but the audio quality is awful-approx 25 minutes of aggravation! Didn’t someone review this prior to posting? If I cannot find comparable info in another video, I will possibly come back to this, which seems to be exactly what I was looking for. I’ll need to do it when I can blare the volume at a time I won’t disrupt my family. When trying to make out what was being said, it occurred to me that many potential patients may be unable to hear this at all, considering that increasing age not only diminishes hearing but most likely increases the chance of having a health issue that could give rise to needing pain management in the first place! Could you add subtitles?

I fell in April and jammed two of my fingers, the baby finger, and finger next to it, hi I didn’t think they were broken, just jammed, so I bought a brace, the fingers turned black and blue,so I went to see my doctors. To make sure my fingers were not broken.I told the doctor what happened. He looked at my fingers and said well you have arthritis. I said I don’t have arthritis. I told you I fell, and jammed, my fingers my fingers didn’t bothered me before that happened. He said well. Should I take x-rays, I said yes take x-rays in my fingers, and then he informed me that the x-rays came back, and showed there was nothing wrong with my fingers. there black ,and blue and there’s nothing wrong with them. He didn’t say well maybe you did jam them, and this is what you can, and can’t do. He didn’t say nothing just blew it off .,now it is July and my fingers is still the same. at this point, I don’t know if I should still try to move them manually. Or just leave the fingers alone until they completely heal. I get mixed statements what I can,and can’t do.some say to leave the fingers alone. Don’t try to maneuver them. Then some say you should try moving them so they don’t stiffen up.

Very informative video. My symptoms started out with a numb foot primarily in my right big toe, a week later it made its way into my lower back but barely any pain, more of a slight throbbing. I was taking prednisone for a different situation and it took away the numbness and lower back discomfort so I’m assuming swelling/ inflammation was caused probs. I did get an MRI and I do have a herniated disk 2-3mm at L4/L5. Will this heal on its own?

Had L5 S1 fused and 3 vertabra in my neck fused in 2016 at the age of 55 Now I have severe adjacent disk disease and facet joint issues . I sure wish I would have been able to get multiple opinions but living in Arkansas you are extremely limited cause Baptist Health has bought out all the doctors and surgeons in this state At the age of 63 I've become pretty much a cripple in pain with very limited resources
