I was there too... What an amazing moment. Also saw him do an impromptu lunchtime set at the lounge. Might have just been a soundcheck that he decided to extend into a full set?
Such a soulful and gifted artist who touches our hearts every time we listen to him. He will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing this precious performance.

Vocally this version of Lover, You Should've Come Over is amazing. Those melodies around 14:20 were beautifully surprising.

I played so real and sung it at the exact spot where jeff went under in the so called wolf river which isnt even attached to the wolf river its actually a back water or bay that IS part of the MIGHTY Mississippi I actually can't believe he went swimming where he went I can't believe that he jumped the visitor center Rail and hiked downhill through thick vegetation no telling what kind of snakes were there at that point that month of May I actually went down there and do the song when the river was low so the being that said Jeff was more than human I think he was an angel he wasn't scared of that River and obviously wasn't scared of dying you wait in that River with boots on and it's a very unforgiving thing that you may not come back from and I kid you not this dude was not ten feet from the land the bank the Coast Guard is located in that bay and a U-Boat went by and it doesn't look like there's an undertow a recurrent there and it's really not that wide a body of water either way Jeff and Spider-Man learn how to play guitar and his music never gets old I'm in a band in Memphis semantic shift and what an inspiration he's been and lastly every time I meet someone in the music industry or someone a fan or a friend new friend or family I haven't seen in awhile the first thing I asked him about music do you know Jeff Buckley

Jeff was an Angel sent to us to teach a few lessons about Life , Love , and ourselves . Unfortunately we were not quite ready for his wisdom and the lord called him back as there was much more we had to suffer before understanding an Angel of this magnitude ❤️
@truefunksoul8638 Жыл бұрын
'Dirk Diggler' pontificating about angels and 'the lord'. OK. Just one question if you would be so gracious, when we have suffered enough to understand Jeff Buckley will we all be called to the great kingdom in the sky, or will he return to play some gigs here first? I am ready for that! Can I get presales for my sins?

ELLIOTT SMITH WAS BETTER
@truefunksoul8638 Жыл бұрын
Elliott was great as well but it's not a bloody contest, what a pathetic comment. Should I head to an Elliott Smith vid and scream JEFF BUCKLEY WAS BETTER? I'm not a fuckwit, so I'm not gonna do that. Your comment is at the very bottom for a reason, KZfaq doesn't show them anymore but it bounces downvotes :/
