When he says no, it's not me it's for a friend, It sounds like to me he's talking about someone reaching out for help but pretending it's for a friend. That's just my take on it but Tyler did say it's about addiction. The video and the song are only loosely connected. Vignette has a couple of different meanings and it's pronounced vin-yet.
