THIS IS MY PET PEEVE THIS analogy has nothing to due with the theory of relativity. THIS is an example of a relevant analogy: "Imagine you're on a fast-moving train. Inside the train, everything seems normal, and you can easily walk from one end to the other. However, to someone standing outside watching the train zoom by, they perceive the train and everything inside it as contracted or squished due to its high speed relative to them."

@@LucasKent-bf5ul oh i know. i choose to ignore that <3 but also they very much... did have sex and a relationship?? just getting into the first,,, all things? the fact that in season 9 it's canonically said she invited mulder into her bed? and as for a relationship they were together in iwtb and were broken up in season 10. getting back to sex, they have an off-screen encounter in 11 that does result in a pregnancy. ALSO, why should we believe anything the smoking man says ever? he's a lying liar who lies, who says he wasn't lying about william/jackson??

This is absolutely not Einstein's theory of Relativity. He's describing someone's psychology / perception. Nothing to do with the theory of relativity.

It's a metaphor, an analogy. This is far simpler to explain than Einstein's actual train platform thought experiment
