A little bit of modern history!! We owned the Shop on the corner which is opposite the Royal Oak, and the house next door after combining both, and building a very successful businness which is now Morrisons, which we sold to j nulty ex Everton footballer. We then built an art gallery business on Merseyside which was highly acclaimed and successfull. Now retired we enjoy the fruits of our labour by travelling Europe in our Motorhome

What a load of nonsense about Culloden. Firstly it was not a battle between the Scots and English. Bonnie Prince Charlie was fighting for the British Crown, not "independence" and his insurgent forces were a mixture of Scots, Irish, English and French but predominantly Highlanders. The British forces were a mixture of Scots and English predominantly Lowland Scots. The majority of Moray is in the North East Lowlands Brothers fought brothers. It was a complex situation. Yes there were atrocities afterwards but that was a different time, and as previously stated the British troops included Scots. King Duncan 1 was killed in action, at the battle of Bothnagowan, now Pitgaveny, near Elgin, by the men of Moray led by Macbeth. He didn't die in the castle. And "Loons" are boys, and you can fly drones in Elgin. It is outside the no fly area of RAF Lossiemouth. Plenty videos on KZfaq. Maybe do some research especially if you visit Culloden Battlefield in the Highlands?

....that's fair enough, good comment. You will appreciate it is a vlog and not a history lesson, we were talking off the top of our heads and reading the local history panels. We hadn't planned to stop off at Elgin so it was completely spontaneous. With regards to flying the drone. We did attempt to fly the drone over the ruined abbey in Elgin but the software prevented us taking off. 🥰😀😎👌🏻

@@Two_LoonsFair enough but you wouldn't have got that information on Culloden in Elgin or any other authentic historical information panel. I live and was brought up in Moray and I just would prefer if people checked their information before making statements, especially about the likes of Culloden. i think there would be an issue flying over the cathedral as it's Historic Scotland property. And you missed some more recent pieces of history, The Beatles on the cusp of stardom played their first gig last of 1963 in The Two Red Shoes Elgin which was a venue not far from the Cathedral. There is a plaque. And Alexander Fleming taught at the old Elgin Academy which is now Moray College. Moray is a beautiful part of the North East of Scotland and you should come back and really explore it.

I think you captured the essence of Mach ( as most locals refer to Machynllyth). And funny with continued mis pronunciation of place name and shaky footage at times. Take every comment as a gift some of which you'll take on board and some you'll discard. Enjoy making the videos and posting irrespective of likes and subscribes. Your channel name is appt as it captures the style. Good luck

Thank you for doing this video. My Anderson ancestors had a farm between Lossiemouth and Spynie Palace. The RAF base took part of their farm. They are all buried in Kinneddar Cemtery.
