Is there a way to assign faders to the FX buttons. I can assign the fader but for some reason the FX buttons aren’t working like the should with the FX channel strip

My brother used to have one of these.. i remember the effects were "pre" channel volumes? Is that correct or my memory tricks me? I considered that a major drawback

The delays offered in the effects-are total garbage. Cheap, repeating karoake delays. Horrible. My only gripe with the board.

Finally!!! After a long battle with my router settings and network settings that tip about NOT connecting the router cable to the ethernet port 2 was gold! Sometimes we are so in a hurry to get things done that we miss something in the chain! Great video/tip! Thanx a lot!!! 👌

Hello last week I bought ui 12 and I want to use aux out as a in ear monitor but it’s out only left side I checked every things not doing pan left channel I didn’t Can you guys tell me the solution?

I own the UI 12, It's fkn useless without an external router. By the way FCK Soundcraft, so many phantom power issues, no more updates, you just abandoned the product like a bunch of pussies

I stopped using my Ui12 because of the connection issues. It would only stay connected if it was hard wired. It would not stay connected with either the hotspot or an external router. Also, using a browser to run the device is a bad idea. On a small screen, the icons are to small to be operated properly.

I followed the instructions for connecting the external router (TP-Link). I'm able to access the UI16 control board using the IP address assigned but any adjustments I try causes a "Locked" error to flash. I'm not able to control the mixer now. Any suggestions?

6 years have passed and until TODAY we have not had an update for ui16!! what a shame...

One thing that is a constant frustration for me with the Ui16 is a lack of date/time setting. All our recordings naming by timestamp is wrong for Australia. I suspect it's locked to a USA default but there's no way to adjust it anywhere! Could this not possibly be included as something to set by timezone? It has been a long time since the firmware was updated but this seems like a design fail in an otherwise excellent mixer.

Thanks for the presentation. I wanted to note that you might be able to skip having the small format touchscreen (and still keep reliable connectivity via ethernet cable) if you have a tablet. You can get an inexpensive powered ethernet adapter cable for your tablet, which plugs into the power recharger/data port on the bottom of the tablet, and then has connections to your power cable for constant tablet recharging, and also has an ethernet output. You can then hard wire your tablet via this adapter into your external router (or the ethernet input of the Ui) via cat-5 cable. Even if the wifi drops out, you are still hard-wired in to the Ui.

Can the VCA be tied to the channels so when you select that VCA it brings the channels up in the left no matter the layer?

Question: Can the Impact and an Expression share a mon/foh stagebox config? Ie: using the Impact at foh on the main madi port to get gain control, and using an Expression at mons connected to the aux port on the stagebox?

How do you switch the effects on and off without having to touch the mixer? Is there a footswitch available for this?

In order to hook a cassette deck up to my mixer I have RCA jacks going out of my deck and into a mono channel on my mixer. Then I have a 1/4 jack from a regular going from AUX 1 send into the RCA input side of the deck. I can now play from the deck onto my dedicated channel and record internally to the tape deck by hitting record on the deck and play on my mixer. That's how I fixed a very simply problem no one seems to address. hope that helps someone.

One major flaw: There's no way you can send a channel to both group bus and master bus without using the "group to master" switch. This makes it impossible to use the group bus as a dedicated output irrelated to the master mix for subwoofers, mix-minus or even just simply copy the master mix for recording or delayed fills like what other boards can do. It can be only used to provide collective control and processing for a selection of channels e.g. to work as a compressor insert loop and a total fader for drums.

A completely useless tutorial. Like reading off a powerpoint just restating things we can see in front of us, without attempting to think about the onvious questions. Like in Wired Ethernet, he says press "manual' when there is a choice of "DHCP" or "Manual", So why press manual. Then there is an IP address, but nothing is explained, why make certain choices where to find the info, what if you need something different. You would be far better of just trying to work it out yourself than wasting time time with someone explaining the obvious to people he assumes that they know exactly what he knows and they can already do everything he is talking about. The chances of a first time user getting this to work using this tutorial is about zero, and the level of frustration, especially given that the WiFi is totally useless and you may not realise how useless till you are at a gig, (it worked OK at home but now the stupid thing is says "No Connection") and you have to try and figure out how to workaround under great stress.

It is better if on the surface there is on board 8 track input that can handle multiformat input. XLR, TRS, TS, 3,5mm phoneplug, Bluetooth, fiber optic and so on.

Please add drivers to Mac to keep it from outputting max volume via usb to the notepad, blowing up your eardrums. Anything above negative infinity is dangerous when using usb

Guys please fix your software for these machines. I think they are awesome but as soon I upgraded my ui24r it gave connecting issues before that it went for months with out an issue
