Sorry dude you better look at the actual speed. 28 gauges run the same speed in many times more than the 20 or the 12 They also pattern extremely well with the right loads

I have a 24F predator all black synthetic just like yours. It’s chambered in 22 hornet and choked 12 gauge. Jus5 got it the winter before last from the original owner. Never shot till I got it. Pretty close to regulated between both barrels on mine.

Does it have a fixed choke, or a screw in choke?

And want more range you can load speer style rounds?

I fear a 7mm Mag would only anger a Sasquatch, more so if its with a family or group, youd be ambushed at close range before you knew what was happening. However you had some great accuracy for a scope novice, deer and hogs watch out!

Thanks for the show and tell l am a single shot or double barrel. man myself. Always love the break action. The only time I've ever used to pump was deer hunting making drives. I would always hunt with guys with autos and pumps. And I'd be right amongst them with my singles. I do know where there's a very nice 28 gauge model 37. Sitting. I should try and get my hands-on it sometime. A deceased friend of mine's father-in-law has it. We've never seen him use it. Thanks again for the video.

I passed one of the older ones up in the early 1980’s and I regret it ever since. If I come across another ( even at the age of 72 ) I will buy it for sure. Just like the man who wanted to give me a Stevens double barrel 410 shotgun. Did not have a use for either of them then. 👍🙏🏽✌🏻

My first gun for Christmas in 1967 was a 24D 22mag over 3" 20 gauge. I have looked for this version over 20 years. I have never seen one for sale. As said, if I were running Savage, I would bring it back.

Who do I make the check out to? Frankly the only reason I don't have this model, is I've never seen one on the rack.

Great concept, but they need to improve trigger pull weight. The one I had trigger pull was over 12 lbs. That was as high as the trigger scale went. Who knows what the actual pull weight was.

I think 12 Gauge, 308 or 30-06, would be a good choice, and adding a 22lr barrel to the side would not add much weight.

My grandpa had a couple of over/unders in .22/410 for halibut fishing. Too bad he didn't really take any care of them and they were all rusted out.

I wish I could get a 12 over a 22 hornet I would take a 20 if I had to and a 222 I know tila made a 13 and a 222. With 28 inch barrels and if I find one I will buy it

Nice video. I have the same combo gun, but in .223/12GA. I bought it at a gun show in Richmond VA many years back. The .223 barrel is a 1/14 twist. It will only stabilize 50gr or less. 45gr varmint/predator loads are very accurate from it. I have taken several rabbits with the 12 GA. I keep some of those multi caliber sleeves with mine. I have a set that allows for .20 and .410 to fired from the 12GA. From Short Lane, I have 38 Special, 9 mm, 45 ACP, and two .22 sleeves, normal and rifled. These all do very well out to 35 yards. Not MOA by any means, but PPSA (Paper Plate Standard of Accuracy) for sure! I have inherited a very old 22/410 combo gun. It may be a Stevens, not sure. It's in another state with a relative and I need to plan a long trip to get it. I did call Savage some time back to see if they had any plans to make the 24. I was told no, as it would be much to expensive to produce them. I think a 556/12 or a 762x39/12 or a 300BO/12 would be nice. Rangers... Lead the Way!

Had one just like it. The 30-30/12ga concept is about perfect. The problem with my sample was it was quite heavy and the trigger was incredibly heavy and terrible and the front sight was plastic. The firing pins on this model is easy to break. Your correct about the concept, but the Savage execution is wanting.

I have the model 24C with .22LR over 20ga and this is my main field gun. Great combo for woods hunting, rabbits, squirrels, even deer where I live.

That is one of the best survival rifles I have ever seen.

Bought a .22LR over 20 Gauge in the mid-60s, added a 10-inch 30-30 rifled insert for the 20, haven't needed much else except for a .22 S&W Kit gun on my hip for anything else.

Had one it was 22 mag over 20 ga worked well and accurate.
