Great demo - I would love to obtain a Wersivoice unit someday. For years I used a limited availability triple chorus unit called the elKorus. With it, Wersi, Elka, Crumar and Eminent tones were all possible, and in stereo if you wished. Lots of options like inverting two of the delay lines by 120 or 180 degrees and two LFOs with speed control and clipping levels for maximum flexibility. I used it on the Omni-2 because it though the built in ensemble chorus wasn't as dramatic as the one on the Solina - so I could achieve a wide range of synth string

Thanks for the comment. If you’re interested I regularly build Wersivoice unit like the one in that video: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZrCPh8uT2bWsdHk.html Case and switches are never the same, I do with what I have lying around.

As mentioned elsewhere this is internally quite similar to the Elka Rhapsody, although it's not an outright copy; this one is 4 octaves with a non-splittable keyboard like the Rhapsody 49 but has additional harpsichord and piano presets like the Rhapsody 61. The strings lack the bite of the Rhapsody's, they're quite a bit more mellow on the high registers, at least on mine, but it might also be my unit needing a thorough recapping

In the 80's I saw one i(black version) in a London music tech shop called Chase run by a Seik gentleman. Does anyone remember that? I also saw 2 wings of the now incredibly rare & expensive ARP 2500 modular for £1000 each. I know in the 80's that was a fair bit but still very cheap compared to now.

You need some basic knowledge of electronics to do this modification I’m sorry. You need to build a small circuit with a CD4018 and a op amp (TL071 for instance). If you don’t know how these work you should ask a technician.

home kit wasnt it? I found one discarded in a cupboard in 1994 at my workplace. took it home and it worked! my first analog synth :)
@ohm_studi_ohm4 ай бұрын
Yes It was a home kit. Very simple actually but build quality and thus functionability depends on the hobbyist skills who built it. Tricky part is the keyboard which has double contacts but no bus bar and can be a hassle to set correctly. And most of the issue you’ll get from the synth comes from the keyboard.

@user-ih2gk6dh7k4 ай бұрын
