Es el mismo ritmo basico de guitarra pero sumandole el rasgueo de ska o en otras palabras, rasguear hacia arriba. Gracias. Me gustaria que el teclado fuera igual de versatil que la guitarra para hacer ritmos

what about "muted guitar rythmics" (palm mute in english i think), this is a very difficult one
@playreggaeguide2 ай бұрын
I did do a video on palm muting. Are you talking about palm muting in rhythm playing?
@matsukadub-official2 ай бұрын
@@playreggaeguide I was talking about the fast ryhtmic "dots" we can hear in rock steady and roots (not the skank, the other guitar :-) : for example the first guitar to appear on "No tennant dub" leed perry and the upsetters (or "Reminah dub")

Ok that’s what they call the tuck line or tacking, that generally (not always) follow the bass line. I did do a video on it, but it may be time I do another one! Peace and love Brother!🙏🏿

Depends on the amp and the guitar. My amp (mesa boogie) on 4 gain wouldn’t be as clean, especially with humbuckers

I totally agree with you! So how you adjust it for reggae or would you not use in that context?

Sounds super dope! Did you record the guitar and bass on live instruments or you just used some built-in plugins?
@playreggaeguide2 ай бұрын
The guitar was played live! The bass is a reggae bass I sampled. The drum I sampled. Bongo drum sampled. The horns I sampled, the piano and organ internal MPC!
@soobpl2 ай бұрын
@@playreggaeguide which internal plugin did you use for the piano?
@playreggaeguide2 ай бұрын
I used the Vinyl Piano in Hype with the delay, reverb and limiter off - I use my own reverb and delay as shown in the video. Hope that helped.

Funny how some guys really struggle with barre chords i never did now..triads i struggle with wrapping yur thumb around the top E.. like bob uses them
@playreggaeguide2 ай бұрын
Yeah, that's very interesting. I think it may have something to do with one's natural anatomy. Certain chord types work for some people while for others they struggle with it. One just has to experiment to see what works best for them, I think.

Am I correct in thinking that the guitar is played on the 'up' beat? That is to say tha 'and' when counting 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 etc.
@playreggaeguide2 ай бұрын
Yes you could look at it that way. But strictly speaking you want to place the guitar down stroke/strum on the 2 and 4 beat of the bar when counting. That is to say 1 strum 3 strum. The kick in the one drum is then placed on the 3rd beat. That is the traditional way. Hope that helped?
