Paprika the spice is literally dried ground red pepper though.

Funny, because I'm looking fot van as well at the moment to live 3 days a week because if a new job! Was it expensive to convert?
@RobWongVagawong2 ай бұрын
I actually bought mine already converted by someone else. If you have the time, space and most importantly skills to convert it yourself it will probably be cheaper, I just don't trust myself to cut windows on a van!

@@RobWongVagawong yeah I'm desperate as my dads 80 and bot got long and would love to get him some information. Poland annexed Lithuania so I think that's why my dna came up as Lithuanian when expected polish .3rd and 4rth causins on the site haven't bothered to fill in the boxes about family names and so on so not a lot to go by unfortunately and the Soviets destroyed the paperwork of poland when they took over in 1945 .

For cheap and high quality food, the weekly market (turgus) is better than any super market. There are also other products for daily life. But tourists dont know and miss it.

I backpacked Egypt solo. Cairo was. . .an experience. I stayed in an apartment building. It took a while to find my apartment because all of the apartment buildings look identical. The guards followed me all the way to my apartment because they were suspicious of me. It was quite odd. Cairo is also the only city where I had a bad Uber experience. The guy was saying sexually vulgar stuff and kept wanting me to stop at various shops to buy cotton shirts and alabaster. Taxi drivers are -very- aggressive when you exit a train station or an airport. I remember waiting for my AirBnb's driver in Luxor and other taxi drivers kept saying "are you REALLY waiting for a driver?" I also had the classic "guy automatically carries your bag when you enter the airport for 10 seconds then demands money for 'helping' you." I had to just wait for him to give up and walk away. Egypt in general is by far the worst I've experienced with people approaching me for scams. I always felt super safe, but the scams are off the charts. Everyone wants to invite you into their homes for tea only to set up to sell something. It took me a while to start trusting locals again. I stayed in a small village outside of Luxor and had a guy want me to accompany him to buy food in the market to help prepare dinner for his family. When I politely declined he kept asking if I wanted to go to an alabaster shop there too. Aswan was similar too. As noted in the video, anyone who has been really positive about touring Egypt did so with an official tour for 7-14 days. If you do it solo, you'll have some very very memorable experiences. Oh, and the amount of scammers at the Pyramids is something else. Drew Binsky and Kurt Caz detailed that really well. It nearly ruined seeing the Pyramids overall. I remember a teenager physically grabbed onto my arm begging me to buy him food despite wearing really nice clothes and looking well off. His dad was a taxi driver and kept asking me to hire him. Despite all of this, I don't regret my two weeks in Egypt (let alone my 5 days in Cairo). I've visited about twenty more new countries since my visit to Egypt, and haven't experienced even remotely similar levels of culture shock. Egypt tops it.
