Thank you for putting this out. I could clearly hear a difference between the V type & the Katana speaker. Issues with the original speaker I find is that the notes can sound a little wishy washy at times, combined with the infamous ice pick sound (I play a tele). With the V type the notes were clearly defined, what was being played really came across making more of a statement whilst being balanced. Gain tones are not the Katana's strong point but with the V Type is sounds like it delivers on both fronts. Due to this I have decided to order one as well as I have 100 mkii. I am hoping it will mean spending less time tinkering with the eqs and just get on with recording and enjoy what is being heard straight off the bat!

I'm glad to see you with your Squier Strat from the beginning of the video. I have had it since 2018 and despite already having several better Strats, it is still my favorite because of the great sound of its pickups. Good comparison.

After 30 years of not liking chorus I discovered Vibrato. Now I always use vibe and occasionally chorus. Just ordered this pedal last week and I think that they should have a vibe switch on every chorus. I still have my original 80s arion stereo chorus. I want to mod it to change the stereo to vibe.

Very nice, unlike those ultrarealistic tones of most of the modern processors.

I noticed that after a while the sound become dirty and you realize this on the clean channel of the Amp1. It’s very crunchy and there is no settings that help. Have you had the same experience ?

Katana speaker is a g12T... not everyone's cup of tea with the spiky highs but they will be bell like with cleans and the Waza is clearly a Greenback so they are made for dirt. There is no speaker that does it all, but boost the mids and raise the highs a little with the Greenbacks and you are good with cleans.

Excellent demo. Have you compared it to any other UniVibe pedals? Based on your video, the Roger Mayer doesn’t seem to get as slow as the DryBell Vibe Machine or the Fulltone DejaVibe and I’m curious if you have used those.

i run the rowin clean boost 18 dollar 4 knob clean boost - i had hope it would be good running in the effects loop on a nux mg30 and i get very nasty distortion- only setting this at noon all knobs! i use it with clean voxac30 amp model . settings noon on all controls and it makes this nasty clipping sound , its not overloading , its very odd . i have tried at LEAST 40 boost or drive pedals with this set up - mostly clean boosts bot lots of low gain over drives as well and this rowin clean boost is the only pedal that makes this unusual distortion . the tone setup sounds so sweet - i get a modified (for less bass kill)germanium rangemaster with an ep boost following that to restore some of the mids and lows that the rangemaster removes . its a really great tone thru amp like vox or jazz chorus . so i am looking for something better than the ep boost . it has a single control and two switches for bass and treble , i would like bass and treble knobs . i tried a fulltone fatboost2 and wasnt happy with that . next up is the booster from boss fz-2 / behringer sf300 . there is a clone pcb you can build which is called the hyped boost . it is 4 knobs , BTVG , so i am trying that. hopefully it does what i need it to do as i want to be able to tweak the bass and treble knobs . i know there is an ibanez phat boost pedal but i think that has a tone knob i am not going for tone knob .... wish me luck . i wanted this rowin to work but ...
