well today this helped me get my b4 2002 liberty home. Thankyou … our boxes have 7pins across not 8 but was simple to just solder across the small gap on the 3 relays. The pin number still needs to be put in to stop it squealing at you ,no biggy ,but works a treat cheers!!

Hi i am putting a subaru uj20 into a seadoo and I have realised it won't work due to the key coder and imobilizer...I don't have ignition barrel so could I bypass it and get power?

Finally after my Subaru 06 shutting down on main roads and having to push the car to the side and several times where I had to leave the car overnight where it wouldn’t start. I finally found this guide as my car wouldn’t start for 3 days. Did the solder PCB and it started first go. Keypad still lights up which is good at night to keep thief’s away. Thanks for the vid your a legend. 👍

Hello everyone, I have a 1995 Subaru Impreza GC8, swapping the old engine into a 2004 WRX USDM which have immobilizer. I have the steering column and the original car key. The problem is I dont have the Immobilizer ecu which is found on the steering column. I wanted to know how will I be able to turn on the engine, or how can I bypass the immobilizer system. Please help! Thanks

This worked fine for me. After buying a new fuel pump (which turns out I didn't need to do anyway) and installing it my cs9 still died at any given time, I followed this tut and since then no more cut outs. Thanks heaps. This was very helpful.

This didnt work for me. I ended up ripping that brandt system out with the alarm. Was easir than u think and so much better. I just took the wires from the immobiliser and ran it all the way back till i found out where the wires were spliced. I think from memory they only spliced three main wires into the cars electricals. The rest was the immobiliser. So where it was splice i cut and joined the orignals back together. Easy as that

Pull the stupid Brant system out of the subies. I did with my beloved bugeye. For those who want a heads up here is a summary of instructions. 1 Under the bonnet remove the alarm, turn it off at the keypad or have a bucket of water and set of ear muffs handy, remove all the Brant alarm wiring too. Drivers side, remove the panel under the steering column. There are jumper wires, wires cut and joined to immobilizer wires and alarm wires joined to car wires. Jumper wires removed, cut wires rejoined and soldered, immobilizer wires separated from car wiring. 2 modules to be removed. also a jumper wire set to the central locking module under the right side dash. Remove it. Passenger floor area; lift carpet, remove ECU shield. 2 cut and joined wires, 2 joins only at the ECU. Rejoin and solder the original wires, cut the immobilizer wires from the original car wiring. Remove the module (as seen in this tube) from behind the stereo area. Remove the keypad. Remember this is a summary, there is a fair bit of wire cutting and soldering new pieces , tape insulation in tight places but the pain is well worth it.

Hi all, i'm having issues with fuel pump activating/keypad screwing up and not accepting my code. I went to do this on my 2005 WRX after seeing people have used this method on their 05 WRX and i removed all the panels and the brant/brandt PCB isn't even there!! and there's no wiring for it there at all either as if it were ever there. Help!

No.1 screw in second panel is one of the screws out of the first panel. So not missing.

Hi there, do you know if the module is located in the same place for 2005 WRX's in Australia? Also I am confused with your instructions about method 1 and 2. With method 2 and removing the control module all together and still being able to turn the car on, do I need to take any further action beside this or is it simply just removing the module?

Hi, thank you very much for this video guide. My MY06 seems to have a problem with the Brant as well. After entering the key code, and turning the Key to the ignition, nothing happens, no cranking, no sound. I can hear the fuel pump priming but that's about it. The battery is ok and the "reds" and lights are on with no flicker. I did the bypass on the circuit as stated but it still doesn't start. I am doing it wrong? or am I missing a step somewhere?

Thank you, this just saved me a considerable amount of money - my car would'nt start due to brant not working - i would have had to get it towed to the dealer and fixed there
