I sobbed for 20 pages. Just absolutely bawled. And then promptly recommended it to every single person I know who reads. It’s phenomenal.

I was lucky enough to read most of the early works as they were published. Some of those stories never leave you. Good list. And Insomnia made me cry…

Great list Zack. I wouldn't have put 11.22.63 that high but at least your top ten is an excellent choice. Most of these King top 10 lists are way out of left field.

You need to learn how to sort books in the shelf, it looks more like the graph of a stock with tall books mixed with smaller ones.

I Was A Teenage Slasher is pretty good….definitely recommend the audio…it’s a slasher memoir narrated by the main character who is a guy who was a teenage slasher back in 1987…it’s kind of ridiculous but also interesting lol…I liked it better than My Heart is a Chainsaw…

I didn't feel like Donna was to blame for everything. Many events collided: 1. The evil spirit of Frank Dodd (monster in the closet: boogeyman). Tad ended up going with Donna because he didn't feel safe unless he was with one of his parents. Vic was gone on a business trip - so felt like she had to bring Tad with her to get the car repaired. 2. Being a stay-at-home mom is hard, especially if your husband is often gone for work. Donna was lonely - as anyone would be in that situation. 3. Vic felt like he had to work a lot and go on this trip because things weren't going well at work because of the Sharp cereal fiasco. 4. Cujo is bitten by the bat and gets rabies. But it's not his fault either he was just being a dog. However - if the dog had been vaccinated...so perhaps there is someone to blame. 5. Charity's abusive husband motivates her to leave with her child after winning the lottery (what are the chances?!), which causes the opportunity for Cujo's illness to go unnoticed for a long time. Donna spends a lot of time thinking this is all her fault, but it isn't. It isn't anyone's fault. It's a tragedy caused by horrible coincidences. It is completely random and that's what makes it terrifying. This could happen to anyone.

My favorites are Revival and Joyland. Joyland is definitely a corny piece of fluff with extra cheese, but I love it. I like the concept of a carnival setting, and it's actually odd that King did it only once, now that I think about it. I prefer it when King gets nostalgic, he does that pretty well (The Body is my favorite novella of his (and Stand By Me is my favorite movie adaptation from King). As for some of the others - Shining and 'Salem's Lot were not perfect, but at least solid. The Stand I quit about 500 pages in - words cannot describe how crushingly, hellishly boring the Larry and Nick plots are. And Under the Dome is sloppy but one of his most entertaining reads once it gets going. In all honesty, I think I like his short stories more, though.

Thanks for the recommendation. Managed to get Boys Life on kindle but Night of Summer had to be special ordered as none of our book shops have access to it in Ireland. Got a second hand one on Amazon for 30e. Expensive but anything that’s a bit like IT is something have to read as IT is my favourite book.

Excellent list! Whalefall is on my tbr. I am planning on reading Lisey's Story next, great to hear a positive review. I really enjoyed Summer of Night but not as much as IT. Boy's Life is absolutely magnificent, in my top ten novels of all time! Agree, probably the best Coming Of Age story I have ever read too. Look forward to your deep dive into the book and love the emotion! Such a wonderful novel I will definitely be re-visiting, masterpiece indeed!
