Would not have been able to change the canopy without your video, would have taken forever to figure it out. Eight years later and it's still relevant. Thank you!

This was great! We found a replacement canopy on Amazon (8 rib) Ikea only had the 6 rib replacement. It worked well with 2 people - especially putting the cover on. You are a lifesaver! We thought we'd have to replace the whole hanging umbrella.

THANK YOU!!!! I just spent the last hour scrubbing the umbrella with a brush and misting dilluted bleach on it. That is what I do every other year. Now, I'll be able to just pop it into the washing machine. You were very helpful. Thanks again...I just wish I had the sense to search You Tube before I did the scrubbing on the umbrella, oh well

I didn't like this because you were just describing what you had already done other than actually showing how to do it. But thanks for posting anyways.

Excellent...thanks for the tips. I didn't have needle nose pliers to open the cap so put a couple of screws in the two holes to give me enough of a grip to loosen off. Bird Poop cover currently being washed !!!

Thank you so much - I just put the fabric into the washing machine! I had done the same with another umbrella right before (that one was quite easy to take off) and wondered how to do it on this one. Now I know...

An Ikea customer service person checked extensively and finally came back with the news that it could;t be done (This was on a Baggon umbrella but it is basically the same). You provided a real service. I was ready to return it because who wants an outdoor umbrella whose cover can't be washed! Have you thought of contacting Ikea and telling them how simple the instructions are?
