I think you might be on to something...thanks for putting in the time. Despite all of the "hard work" being done, even if you scaled production a made 10-15 kits, they still be $550 (in my head) or more. Unless pieces/parts are less than I image; this is gonna be really expensive if you started a side hustle.

Hey there! I know i am a little late to this chat but i have a question, Why did you go for specifically Ford clusters, is it preferance or does it fit better?
@BlitzenDesignLab12 күн бұрын
@@whoodytree2512 it started with the fact that I had some at my disposal already, but I also found that they had some of the better implementations and style. I don't care for a full Lcd-only look as much, and the hybrid style like I used really stuck out to me

This was really cool to see. Do you make all those custom boards and everything yourself? Where'd you get the know-how to dive into a project like this?!
@BlitzenDesignLab9 күн бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! The circuit boards I designed and had made through a board house online - then I sourced the components and assembled them myself. I got a bit of a kick start 10+ years ago in school, but a majority of what I know is stuff I've learned myself over the years!

Just seeing this made me want to play Turbo Overkill again. Amazing work and i cant imagine just how much time and effort went into making it a reality. Any plans on adding selectable retro themed backgrounds? If you do please add that one old-school aesthetic design that you'd see on fastfood cups. White background with the turquoise brush with the gentle navy squiggle over it. I believe it was called Jazz (design). That graphic always brings me back.

I love the 80's vibe of this cluster, especially the TRON looking background. But, was this really less expensive than the Mustang cluster?
@BlitzenDesignLab22 күн бұрын
@@ProfessorOzone the clusters like I used can be had for a fraction of the cost of the mustang ones and you can find better deals on them quite often. A lot of the efforts I put in would still be needed for the mustang one as well, so the only real difference would come from the custom faceplates I made
