Im sorry to tell you but there is absolutely no way 2 people are going to be able to carry a grand piano, or an upright piano. Unless both of those people are capable of lifting 500+ pounds themselves.

You're in WV you say? I wonder if it was my cousin's contraption that you were using. He lives in WV and has a machine that he named "Rosco the Stair Climber" that moves pianos up stairs.

It would take more than two men to move this grand piano. They way over 600 pounds. I agree it wouldn't take 10 men, but piano movers suggest you use at least 5 or 6 for grand pianos.

We used a similar contraption to take a 9' steinway up a long double marble stairway in Huntington W.V. city hall. I took MORE manpower because the contraption was so heavy and couldn't get traction on the stairs. on this video, I like the edits where 4 guys help turn the deal to go up, and then turn the camera back on.
