And not only did she mail them to the wrong person and not serve them she got fired and then another lawyer took over my Case they did not know anything about my case they didn't know my last lawyer set a pre-trial and set for temporary alimony and I had all the information already on my Gmail I feel like my new lawyer at the firm is just trying to not get sued for breaking confidentiality or something I don't know but I thought 2 years to get this divorce and I'm back at square one

My lawyer didn't serve my husband papers for divorce they mailed them and they mailed them to the wrong person he could have said he didn't get them is that wrong of my lawyer to have just mailed them

A GAL is a county employee acting as an informant for the Court. If you don't have effective legal representation, do not buy the malarkey about "cooperation".

I have court tomorrow and I have emergency custody of both of my daughters. My eldest “step“ daughter was originally in states custody, and then the judge placed her in my custody. Tomorrow will be the 4th court date. The first two court dates my ex-wife was in jail and was contagious. The third court date my wife decided to represent herself and failed miserably. She is now been appointed an attorney. I was fully expecting to be called by my stepdaughters “ad litum” by now but I have not. BS! Placement did not start off equal for me. I was given 0 placements from the get go. I had to pay and fight for placement. Whoever get majority of placement in Wisconsin pretty much get custody right over the other. My advice, stay legally single by not getting a STATE marriage license.

Once a last name is changed in most states the Parent with custody will be entirely responsible for all costs in medical,dental,housing,clothing, costs of further education.The change should be weighed carefully, resentments may fester in the child if change was made by a vindictive custodial ;parent. From what I have experienced and heard, the gal is not in the best interest of the children. Ours didn't see me parent my children, was dishonest, and he didn't even disclose major information to me or to the court, significantly affecting our case.
