Excellent build Max, probably one of the most effective and economically produced tank destroyers of the war, the StuG III and IV series.

Very nice job! As a matter of interest, most of the later Stug III and IT'S also had co-ax machine gun fitted as well as external machine guns that could be operated from inside. Model on!

The early StuG III (on a Panzer III hull) had a short-barrelled 75mm, later versions had a longer 75mm. The StuG IV (on a Panzer IV hull) started out with a long 75mm, then came a version with a 105mm howitzer. That was a really fast build, I can do a 1/72nd scale Fast Assembly model that quickly.

Fun question, Max! In aviation, it would have to be a WW2 warbird, like Spitfire, Hurricane or Mustang. In the automotive world, I would choose to drive Ford GT40 Mk. II or a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe. In real life, I have only piloted Cessna 152II and Cessna 172 aircraft. My real-life automotive dream drive was a freshly restored 1965 Chevrolet Corvette with 425 hp tri-power 396 big block with 4-speed manual. That was a total gas!

I witnessed the first fight, and the first belly landing of the F-16 while pulling B-52D alert at Carswell AFB. Aircraft were built better 50 years ago than the glass cockpit, plastic aircraft of today. Smart engineers, and no dumb computers.

I received my Estes Quasar rocket in the mail in the 1970s when I was a kid, on a Saturday, after mailing a check and waiting anxiously several weeks. I am still striving to find that same joy all these years.

Been launching Estes rockets since 1971. Lost plenty of them on roofs and crashes due to failed parachute openings. The engines can be re-purposed to launch things other than rockets too..!!!

@@lancerevell5979 ok - I thought it was but when I saw Max handling the model, I was thinking that 35th would have looked larger than it seemed on Max's work bench and shelf.
I've always thought that music was one the better choices in many war movies, up there with the Battle of Britan and Bridge on the River Kwai.
