Thank you because I was considering getting one. But I simply can't afford it!!! I found a Japanese hole punch, only for a few dollars!!! 😊

You can make fun bird feeders too. And pour painting looks really cool: 1 cup, a bit of 4 different acrylic paints poured in one after the other, and then poured on the outside of the gourd letting it drip and run all over. A hair dryer helps the paint run all over too.

That is beautiful. Thanks for explaining what each piece was. I thought the long cylinder was a medicine bottle of sorts. But instead a pencil. Fabulous

I watched the three lovely videos of yours. I cannot tell you how much I learned as I am new. I bought so many things and watched videos however yours has been so lovely that I can say I can give it ago. You are a great teacher, easy to follow. I just would like to ask you about the three tools you were using to make these magnificent three holes with the little green thing what do you call them and where can I find them. Would be very grateful. Thank you for sharing. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

Love this series and the covers turned out so beautiful! I only wondered why you on this one you wrapped the elastic alive the spine? Given that you did use elastic on this one, you could have strung the elastic like a traveler's notebook, saved half the elastic and not had the strings on the outside of the spine. Any particular reason, if I may ask? Thanks so much for sharing. Love your punches. :-)

I'm so excited to try this! I actually have several boxes that I have saved just because I like them, and now thanks to the series that you made I will be able to use them. A couple of them are special so I won't be covering the front I'll just leave them as they are. I really cannot tell you how happy I am I found this series!❤❤

I like the varnished ones, too. I would also put a dab of clear silicone caulk in the holes for the hanger to keep water from dripping in there. How did these work and weather?
@MichelleRaeLandry2 ай бұрын
Hi there! I like your idea about the clear silicone caulk in the holes. This was my first batch ever and they have weathered well with most of them still in use having said that I am noticing on some of them the varnish is starting to peel off. I put a couple out with no varnish and although I feel like the outside isn’t as pretty, they have weather just as well. I don’t take them in the winter time and I live in New Hampshire with lots of snow, So far so good!

New subscriber here, I've felt overwhelmed lately because i wanted to make some cute journals for gifts. I used to make stuff like this at a lesser scale when i was in school (30 years ago), but I just couldnt get back into it. Your amazing box journal videos have helped spark some creativity finally and I cannot wait to start saving pantry boxes now lol. Thank you...also I purchased Barbara's kits and I am in love with those also. ❤
@shaunabrink59022 ай бұрын
Also wanted to add that I use Mod Podge satin and brush it on. I then heat it a bit with my heat press...seems to hold it nicely. Of course, do it in a well ventilated area and cover your heat platen with a teflon sheet u dont care much about since it'll get some glue on it. 😊

Hi I am specifically looking for those mushroom images you were using. Can you let me know exactly from that site you referenced where to find from what book? I checkied out the Biodiversity Heritage site but find it difficult to actually see any images there without blindly downloading a book. Can you help me find images like yours more easily? I do not see pics on that website. I searched the keyword "mushroom" and it only shows a list of books for you to download not knowing of any images associated with these books
@MichelleRaeLandry2 ай бұрын
Hello. Yes biodiversity can rake time to sift through due images, however I would recommend that if you are willing to spend a few dollars… finding a digital kit on Etsy that is mushroom or woodland themed would save you a lot of time and give you lots of options quickly. If that’s something you are interested in I can list some of my favorite sellers. You can probably find some images for free on the graphics fairy website it has a wonderful free selection.

Hello, I just got done watching all of the videos in the box journal Playlist. I loved every one of them! All other box videos I've seen tells u too double the cardboard. It's great to see these videos since I'm so new to journal making.
@MichelleRaeLandry2 ай бұрын
Amy, thank you so much for watching and commenting. Everybody will have their own way of doing some thing and we all have our preferences if I was making a journal that I knew had to withstand a lot of use I might consider doubling the cardboard. However, I have yet to have a problem with you using a box as is I like that it’s flexible and it’s plenty sturdy for an art journal or a basic junk journal. I hope you have fun creating your own.
