I have been tithing for past 1 year not 10 percent but 30 to 40 percent of what I get and still not financially good no job nothing I earn only 6 thousand a month and from that also I give 30 percent in tithing one day I really got irritated and asked God does your tithe really works the same day I met someone who told me to help her household and also fund her son's education don't know what God wants me to do financially there is no increase in salary and god wants me to do more charity

Question? Don't we all give offerings (not tithe) already? Through out taxes to support those who don't have much for food stamps, welfare, SS, and health?

Tithing is of the old law, under the mosaic and levitical laws which were 613, the people bound themselves in an oath and put themselves under a curse if they fail to tithe, it was for the jewz not the gentiles, that scripture is found in Nehemiah 10:28, a part where these preachers will never show the gullible ones, there is no more priesthood to collect tithes and it was never money but agricultural produce

Best explanation l have seen so far. God gave adam everything and reserved just one tree for himself but Adam chose to steal what belongs to God so God chased him out. This is how Pastors should preach. I started tithing 3 months ago and l will not stop.

All things written in the bible is FOR us , but not all things written in the bible is TO us; some things are written to Jews and NOT to the Gentiles. We live after the cross in the dispensation of the Church age or the kingdom of God. A tenth can be given as free willed offerings, as was with Abram; it was not commanded by God to Abram. A tithe (ten percent) or tithing ten percent is not initiated by Abram (Abram is not higher than God) but solely by and put into effect by LAW. Centuries later God COMMANDS the Levites to TAKE tithes from THEIR bretheren because they had no inheritance and lived by the tithe; although Levi was in the loins of Abram when Abram (GAVE A TENTH AND NOT PAID A TITHE) to Melchizedek. One had to be of the blood-linege of Aaron to take tithes. Those whom are not, are in breach of God's order for taking tithes from the assembly; thereby exposing the assembly to lack of giving cheerfully, and other related money problems as satan would have it.

Hebrews 7: 11-13: " If therefore perfection were by the Levitical Priesthood for under it the people RECEIVED THE LAW, what further need was there that another Priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not called after the order of Aaron? For the PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED, there is made of necessity A CHANGE ALSO OF THE LAW. For He (JESUS) of Whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe (JUDAH) of which no man gave attendance at the alter." Jesus is our ever present High Priest. We are gentiles and certainly not from the bloodline of Levi, nor Aaron; we are not to usurp the authority of a Levite Priest to take any tithes from anyone in this dispensation of Grace. John 1:7 "For the LAW was given by Moses but Grace and Truth came by Jesus Christ."

God does not need tithes in order to fulfill His purpose on earth. The early Christians did not propagate the Gospel with tithes. The spread of Christianity from Jerusalem to all Judea to Samaria and to the utmost parts of the earth was not achieved because of tithes. “O my people, listen as I speak. Here are my charges against you, O Israel: I am God, your God! I have no complaint about your sacrifices or the burnt offerings you constantly offer. But I do not need the bulls from your barns or the goats from your pens. For all the animals of the forest are mine, and I own the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird on the mountains, and all the animals of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for all the world is mine and everything in it." (Psalms 50:7-12)
