I have this same problem I keep falling to and I feel powerless towards it! I pray everyday and read the bible everyday but this problem is starting to affect all of this.. Thank you so much for being so honest and straightforward in sharing what has been heavy on your heart. i didn't know that i needed to hear this today, but God really works all things for good 🙌🏼 My church has been going through James, and last Sunday our pastor preached on James 4:1-12 which was all about our 'double-mindedness' and how we should submit ourselves to God fully, instead of one foot in the world and one foot with the Lord. On the day i literally thought it was a good sermon but more for others not myself, until in the past few days i feel like i've been struggling with desires of my flesh. i realised that many times i have not wanted to let go with what i loved in the past/still love from the world. i have been so prideful to think that i am and keep wanting to be the pilot of my life, even when i know God knows the best and He has planned my path already… After watching this video, i finally can confirm that i am convicted and the Lord has been speaking to me the whole time when i chose to be disobedient and ignorant to His answers. “Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.” - James 4:10 (NIV) now this verse hits bit different, i’m more than grateful for what God can do to pull us back to Him when we feel super lost and even hopeless. sorry about my waffles.. and thanks for being a wonderful brother in Christ (altho online!) i do feel honored to become your 600th follower as well! No my friend, Jesus never asks anyone to give their lives to Him in scripture! That is a phrase made up by man! You will not see that anywhere in the Bible! You need to study and understand Romans 7:14-25; and Romans 8 which talks about living life in the Spirit! It's important brother that you study the Word of God In context! If you are under Calvinistic teaching then get out! What do I mean? People like John MacArthur, John Piper, Paul Washer, Ray Comfort, Francis Chan, etc. Understand Grace! You only need to believe on Jesus Christ and Him alone to be saved!

You know, I actually think about eternal life in a selfish way. I just want to go with Him now because I can't stand a world full of evil, and very apart from Him. A world that does not care. And I closed myself to share about Him because I don't want to get insulted, confronted, or even killed. I'm stuck in this fear for months, and I know that, if I'm in fear, then eternal life with Christ would not be my place. I thought of making videos too. Maybe that could help me, but I don't know. I want so many things. To put it in a illustration, I feel like Jonah when he refused to go and do God's will, or like Jeremiah, tired of talking to the unfaithful Israel. What do I do?

It took 7 years after graduating, but I'm finally using my Economics degree in my line of work. And it seems like my financial situation will only go up from here.

Thank you for sharing. I have a similar testimony with the “good Christian” face at church, but at home and school I was far from it. Living a life truly transformed by Jesus means abstaining from sin because we’ve been made new in Him. It’s brought me to tears many times thanking the Lord for His grace and mercy seriously it’s every single day He gives that to us. Thank you again for sharing, I’ll be praying for you and that this testimony you have would continue to glorify the Lord in all ways!
