Lets address the elephant in the room. The charm of Magnum, defined by Selleck, was seeing this often immatute, gawky and fun white dude and his interactions with the natives, underpinned by his love of them and the Islands. For so many white people, through Selleck they could imagine the exotic lifestyle, the friendly and hospitable natives, and the fantasy of being him, in that scenario and setting. To change Magnum from being white, is to show how little these producers know about their audience. I can imagine some woke DEI executive being responsible for the virtual signalling casting and this dreadful remake.

The only one left is Sean Harland Murray, and he only cameo'd in Season 1 and became main cast in second. In short, no Season 1 cast remains.

HBO should have taken it up. Eragon is not meant to be a 100% kid friendly series. There are some spicy bits and dark bits in the books nothing like Game of Thrones but still some nudity and death. Plus saphira deserves to be a bad ass looking dragon with some high quality detailing none of those damned feathers. I was so upset as a kid when she got feathers lololol

The original Magnum P.I. worked because you had a good-looking guy who acted like a goofball, surrounded by his goofball friends who drove him mad. But they also loved each other and remained loyal comrades to the end, no matter what happened. The remake has none of that charm. You don't want to know any of the characters. There's no chemistry. It's just a generic crime show that's trying to be cool. Tom Selleck was cool despite being a clown. He could get serious and tough, but with just one look and a cheeky smile, he could get away with anything. Was it realistic? Nope, but it worked. VERY well.

When the William Lewis episodes first aired, my family came up with different codes to tell each other if we're ever in danger and somehow have access to a phone, even if the phone was listened to. Each code is different to the specific person in my family, but it's obvious to us. I pray my family never uses them, but we have the codes just in case.

I don't want to be rude and I really like Tom Selleck and his acting ability but.....I think he needs to retire feom Blue Bloods and let the show continue. I mean I love that show n don't want it to end. So I can so with out Tom n not the whole show. Heard he gets 200,000 an episode??? He can still act in other things and we will watch them also. Please let BB continue. Just my humble opinion!!

there is only one Magnum, PI. however I started watching the new series in re-runs. I like it. I like that change and the woman playing Higgins. I like some of the changes. The fact is Tom Selleck is too old to be playing the role anymore.
