I'm trying to use this query {{Department <> 'SYS' AND Department <> 'Offboard' AND Department <> 'Outsource' AND Department <> 'outsource' AND Department <> 'Shared-Email' AND Department <> 'Outsourcings' }} to exclude certain departments from being displayed. However, even after applying, I still get the list of users from the excluded department, such as 'Offboard'. Any suggestions what's going wrong? , Regards EM

Many thanks for this Daniel. Can you explain some scenarios where you use meta data to classify your information vs creating multiple document libraries. I am about to start an internal project and unsure about whether to have one massive document library that we then add metadata to or separate them out into different document libraries. I am not sure if permissions is one thing that determines this (eg you have one document library per department for files that staff in that area need to see with the appropriate security settings)?

@Daniel Anderson do I get it right, that the files could be either on one big pile, or you can nest them in any folder/subfolder structure but these "list values" are added as a metadata to the file directly? So it doesnt matter if they are in folders or not?

Would be great to see this type of content but with a real world example. WIth everything be titled content type instead of say 'certifications' its actually still hard to follow. I am at a business where i need to look into creating a content type 'employee' and then maybe its a document set called "employee"?? where when you open it up there will be metadata required for employee - start date, phone number, email etc.. but then also certificaitons they have (first aid, drivers licence, forklift ticket etc). Ive tried watching many videos on document sets and content types and i havent found one real world example so its not making sense

When I insert the webpart and I add the name of the first person, everything is fine and they show up with their profile picture and name. However, I do not see an option like you do where it says "people reporting to you". Even when I go to settings and change the number of levels, nothing shows up so all I can do is add one name and then nothing else. Why does my webpart not have the same message as yours (ie. "people reporting to")

Nice job Daniel. This has been some thing that I think has been overlooked for far too long. You made it clear enough that I sent it around just now to all my clients tech leads telling them to take a look at implementing it on their own if they wish. I do wish that there was some connection between OneDrive Sync in File Explorer and SharePoint that would link all of these metadata columns into the document metadata itself but I assume there is not.

Do you even need Learning Pathways if you have Viva Learning installed? As it has Providers and courses dedicated to learn Microsoft (Microsoft 365 and Learn Microsoft). Are those the same type of content already pre-populated in Learning Pathways? This video is really helpful! TY!
