I recently starting hitting over $2k a month on Depop these last few months I’m trying to get to this point!

What would I be using to package and ship some jeans in this video you use black bags but doesn’t it have to be sealed I thought I would have to use a bubble mailer or a flat rate envelope but that would cut into my shipping cost?

Hey you’ve helped me with my account but I see the type of accounts you’re trying to replicate. In my opinion it’s like you’re on the line of selling fakes. If you see the reviews a lot of people saying the items are cheap and eventually Depop is gonna catch on to the temu items flip. Ima try to do the same with better products and different items. A lot of the top shops are selling the same things and I feel they are gonna get got soon.

Yeah, I totally get that. I want to figure out something that’s more sustainable.

@@EvanZoeteman same here, I started Depop on April and I’m actually doing alright with 3k+ this past month. I have 64 followers. I feel like I got the key words down. I also refresh all my items Like 3 times a week and post 10+ items a day.

@@EvanZoetemanyeah I see it working for them but idk how much longer it’ll hold up for. I started Depop on April and I’m doing alright with 3k+ this last month. I have 64 followers and I think my key words are helping a lot. I’m constantly getting 5-10 sales a day now. Ive started the Pinterest thing because I love to style so let’s see if that helps.

What are your thoughts on Depop resellers like @ny, @endlessgaragesale, and @desiredny? I’ve been following these accounts closely and noticed they mainly resell clothes from Temu. In just the past few months, they have sold thousands of items. Sellers like @ny have sold 42,764 items. It's literally insane. Even if he only made $10 per sale, that’s nearly half a million dollars. A lot of what he sells includes rings, necklaces, & belts, which you can easily find on Temu through an image search. I think it’s somewhat unethical and wonder how it’s not against Depop’s terms of service, but part of me is tempted to try the same lol
@EvanZoeteman3 күн бұрын
I am ready to give it a try as well. When it comes down to ethics, almost every item in the entire entire world is resold just nobody says that. The way they market is genius @ny and @guccig11 I think they are on top for a reason and it’s not just the items. They definitely know what they’re doing.

hey man, have you thought about compressing the images on the website at all? I've noticed it can take a little long to load on poor internet connections due to the images being large. Loving the vids btw! Just wanted to give a little tip because I build websites for a living 😁
@EvanZoeteman10 күн бұрын
I have not. What’s your best recommendation to compress images while keeping the best quality?
@joshuaborseth10 күн бұрын
@@EvanZoeteman If you google online image compression there should be some good websites that you can use. I'd try to compress them down to around 500kb to 2mb

Half a ping pong table would be 5 feet wide and 4.5 tall. I was about to build a background out of insulation board and make it 5x5 but seeing you use yours, I think 5 feet is not enough since the sleeves still hung over the side when stretched out. I really like the maneuverability of the ping pong table, I never would of thought of that. I feel like slight less slope would be better so you can lay the yard stick on there and have it actually stay. Also, a lot of the photos I have seen with grey back ground don't look very good with light colored jeans, they kind of blend in, not sure what would be a better option, maybe a medium brown carpet or wood, or maybe a maybe a black sheet i could pull over the grey when needed?
@EvanZoeteman10 күн бұрын
I agree with multiple of your points. The size is still too small to have items laid fully out and still have space around outside for photos. I also agree with the gray background. I wish I could do the same color as my concrete floor. For the items that don’t show up well on the carpet I do take pictures of them on the floor.

this was very helpful thank you! so to clarify, the post office will scan the shipping label and depop will confirm that its being shipped to the buy and the seller? i shipped an item today but depop is still telling me that its still awaiting to be shipped. idk im just a bit confused lol
@EvanZoeteman13 күн бұрын
Yes, once it’s at the post office and they scan it and report it, then Depop will notify the buyer that it has been shipped. Often times, though I have been running into the post office, not scanning/reporting it until it arrives at the person’s house.

Enjoyed the video man, right after we talked about this on Instagram it made me realize how big of a chunk you’re really losing, seeing that big number on Depop will make it seem like way more. It would be great if they could add a feature to see your total made, and then ur total after fees and everything
@SportsRAPP13 күн бұрын
Have you tried having your packages picked up instead of taking them to the PO every day? Huge time saver! I gave up on depop after having pretty much nothing but ridiculous low ball offers on things. Maybe I'll give it another shot and throw a few hundred items back out there and Etsy and see what happens and try to leverage social media more.
