My deceased husband, before he passed would take his Polaris to the Golf Cart/Lawnmower repair shop. Obviously, it was never fixed. The battery will not stay charged, there's a part on it that he didn't know why they put it on. They put in a toggle switch to turn on & off the fuel pump. He had cancer & was trying to fix it so I'd be able to use it, to take care & feed my cattle, but it metasticized to his brain & he never was able to do anything. I've tried to work on it but I noticed, where there should be a clamp they had used electrical tape instead. I knew then that I wasn't going to be able to repair it myself. Is there someone that works on them without charging an arm & a leg? I've checked around our area & haven't found anyone. I'm in Florida and Golf Carts are the #1 fixer uppers, & the sell of New Polaris' are all I can find, they won't work on the older ones, they try to push the new ones off on you. I can't afford a lot, but I don't want to lose my husband's Polaris. Can you or anyone tell me how I go about finding someone to repair it, not replace it? I'd appreciate any help. Like I said, I'm located in South Central Florida. Thank you

No. If deceleration from high rpm in gear, it will give a pop or two but not under normal conditions.

I always wondered if these would've sold better if they had liquid cooled engines. Back in those days, liquid cooling was relatively new, and everyone wanted it on their bikes.

To smooth the power you can use steahly flywheel weight, I installed one on my bike and it was the ticket!

Check your fuel injectors .sounds like only one is firing.. my Bike did the same thing until I found out my injector wasn’t plugged in all the way and then it fired right up. Ran good.

lol I was 10 years old be 40degree outside with 2001 or 2002 after all night cold and start in less than 5 kicks and and had electric start but never used it after was cold for 20+ hours and she would shoot flames out the Yoshimura pipe when she was cold I loved that bike havnt had a bike even close since tell I buy me a yz450f or yz450FX and go street legal in NC I’m 34 now

TX 750 was the worst Yamaha 70s…ALL engine was broken ( oïl circuit PB ), soon or later , take care, don’t move with this bike 😬🥵😖

Yep, the first A models usually blew up during the Warranty period! Yamaha fixed all the problems with the next year's B model. It was very reliable, if not that fast. But the bike had got such a bad reputation dealers could not sell them! It disappeared after only 2-years production. A B-model runner is rare and is a collector's item nowadays.

Hi! You might want to wrap the exhaust just where is passes underneath the corner of the battery box, or at least keep an eye it, because it can melt the battery box if you're doing a day's riding and it's hot. It did on mine, and I've wrapped just that small section and it's fine now. Great video!👏

Now that I look, the corner is already rounded. Guessing that is how it happened. It looks clearanced enough so for now I'll just watch it.

The tx750 is a beautiful bike, unfortunately the engine design wasn’t great. Oiling issues, chain drive balancer, and the exhaust balancer all made it a problem bike. However, it’s rare and because of that, I love it!

Honda went with the left side kickstart on the 1983 cr480r. Wnen i take it out ( not very often now because oarts shortage) people think its a deal breaker. After 2 kicks you never think twice about it

It’s just a breather, the only hose with oil pumping threw it is the one right above the drain plug on the right side of the motor
