Why do you not give his name? You could just have made this stuff up If you wont reference the source, give a name, and a link, I call BS on your site. You could very well make up this stuff. No references, no sources, no credibility.

I'm 61. Been reviewing similar chronicles in different formats since my teens. This extended narration with complimentary video is par excellence ! Thanks to all involved! That being said, Kurt Meyer is a convicted war criminal. Scumbag murdered almost 150 defenseless Canadians POW's in France

I’m always surprised by how poorly the Japanese soldiers were led, their commanders were absolutely lost as to how the Americans moved from island to island. They had to know it was a lost cause.

Erich von Manstein, the best general and strategist, used his strategic skills to extend the war by at least one year and if Hitler had left the campaign to the many good generals, everything would have turned out differently. Erich von Manstein wrote a book: Lost Victories, which can be found on KZfaq as a radio play. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/f719ldiWs9udiIE.htmlsi=Pnk86Meef-WCf0H6

My great grandfather was a bosnian veterinarian working for the germans on the eastern front. He was stabbed in Stalingrad but survived and later killed a traitor at the volga river. He managed to survive the war and get home alive.

The battle cry of the Russians was Hurrah not hooray. Safe to say if the Germans did not have to deal with the eastern front, the allies would not have set foot on the Normandy

I wonder what the Germans thought did they expect the Russians to just surrender their country and had it over to these occupiers without a fight.

People forget the majority of the German army had nothing to do with the nazis and hitlers holocaust. They actually hated him for the most part, but they were soldiers, fighting for their country. But not the evil hated nazis we all know

The SS divisions were nearly completely pulverised in Kursk as the daily journal of the OKH reported it. Don't believe in the Prokorovka myth. It was just an accidental minor engagement not worth mentioning. ( No record in the OKH). The Stavka had given specific orders : NO TANK BATTLES. during the first week half of the tigers were destroyed by artillery, planes and mines without encountering a single T34/76.. The Wehrmacht never set a single toe in Prokorovka. Kursk was already over after one week when the Soviets launched a counteroffensive on Orel.

There is a documentary about two soldiers, one German and one American. The story is that this German was captured by the American only after the fortification he was in ran out of ammo for the 2 MG42s.
