The SS divisions were nearly completely pulverised in Kursk as the daily journal of the OKH reported it. Don't believe in the Prokorovka myth. It was just an accidental minor engagement not worth mentioning. ( No record in the OKH). The Stavka had given specific orders : NO TANK BATTLES. during the first week half of the tigers were destroyed by artillery, planes and mines without encountering a single T34/76..
