Nice setup. You could have used the accessport if you have one, for the same purpose. You don’t have to load a OTS map to your Outback ECU. But the screen is smaller. Looks great though and easier to read.

I’ve been thinking of trading in my 18 WRX for a wilderness Outback. I just don’t know if I would miss my 6spd WRX. It is bigger and would make more sense with the family and over landing a bit. I’m at a crossroads but the Outback has been growing on me a lot lately.

@@oscarsturu1 I was in the same boat as you with my 18 WRX but I ended up selling it for an s2000. I did that because I already had the Outback. Otherwise, I’d probably think twice before getting rid of the WRX. The Outback has been great though. I can’t imagine taking any other car on a road trip after driving this thing. You’re a lot higher off the ground and you just feel safer overall. Looking forward to what you end up doing.

Great review man. I just bought these for my 2015 Subaru Crosstrek on Amazon. I'm super new at car audio, so I don't know a whole lot-- I wanted to get tweeters that didn't require any soldering or extra capacitors, so these seemed to fit the bill. I actually replaced the head unit with an iDoing, and my door speakers are JBL 621F's. I still have to put silicone baffles on the door speakers to make them sound a bit nicer, but this is good reassurance that they were worth the buy. Thanks!

I just bought unit the other day. Followed all instruction on wiring and installed. Turned right on and seemed good but driving to work it just went back for 20 minutes and then turned itself back on when I got to work. At end of day it fired right up but then went black again after a few minutes till I got home and then it came back on. Have you seen that at all? Not sure if there is a loose wire, or if not enough power is getting to unit. Thanks for any feedback or tips!

I haven’t had this issue, mine has been good so far. I suggest double checking the connections. If that’s all good, then I would look into the plug that goes behind the head unit. That one was a B to get on there. Once you push it in, push it some more (carefully) until it’s flush. Hoping this helps!

If you hit something hard enough to damage or destroy that valve, the OEM drain plug isn't going to save you, anyway. At that point, you're busting your oil pan up pretty good. This valve would be the least of my concerns if I took a big rock that far up into the system. LOL

Been waiting for someone to find an LED that works without hyperflash and without resistors. Guess I'll head on over to grab some. Have you run into any issues with your 20mm wheel spacers? I have some TorqueSolution ones that I had for my '23 WRX that I never got around to using before selling the WRX so I'm considering putting them on the '24 Outback Wilderness.
@ronfromportland

Nice, you won’t regret it! No issues with the spacers when I had them on, just be sure to re-check torque after 50-100 miles. I may run them again in the near future.
