I've been meaning to do this. The saran wrap idea is brilliant. I bought sandwich bags but I don't want them all to look the same. Great job!

A trick I learned from other installers, Is to stagger the shingles on the left side. For example on an Aberdeen 8 x 12, cut six shingles 8 inches shorter. On the left-hand end of the roof (assuming you shingle left to right) Stagger your short pieces with the full length ones from bottom to top, in a single row. Then do the second row from bottom to top with all full length pieces. Butt the shingles end to end against the short ones. Slip the long ones underneath the long ones, butting into the shorter ones. run full length the rest of the way to the end of the roof. Then repeat on the other side of the roof. It’s 30% faster and more efficient than the stairstep method. You no longer run back-and-forth across the roof and It saves wasted cut off. One BYP installer to another. Have a great one!

The rocks you pay tons of money for are basically molded concrete. And then you'll have to cut, shape and mortar them.

Hi Lisa. Really nice video. We ordered this exact shed from Costco but am struggling to decide what to do with its foundation. Is it okay to sit the skid directly on soil? The spot where our shed is going is the low spot of the yard and I worry there will be too much moisture there. Any recommendation? Thank you!!
