@2:26 captain saluting the marshaller made my day ♥ That's one hell of an aircraft and this is probably the best airline in the whole world in my opinion. Everyone be safe out there!

Really liked watching the Allison 501-D13H spinning up. As a Naval Aircrewman on P-3s, it brings back memories of watching/listening to the T56 military version of that engine. Even the APU sounds the same as the one on P-3s. I flew on EP-3Es as a Radio Operator and cross-trained as a Spook back in the tube. Good times!

this kid/pilot but on an amazing show in a plane the even the Blue Angles won't fly and more, great job Canada

You can see the engines good thermal efficiency by the drinking straw like exhaust (even with turbos) compared to say the PT-6 chimney stacks. Although maybe the gaping maw of a cooling inlet may suggest where thermal inefficiency occurs in this type of powerplant. Now is it all over cheaper to have than a PT-6?

I read that funny looking long antenna that runs on the top of the aircraft can monitor over a million cell phone lines per second. crazy

For me, personally, it was great to have an airshow back on Vancouver Island again. I heard there might be another Comox airshow in 2026.

I was truly lucky to see Abottsford International in '88. The great Concorde, the original Harrier jump jet, the Avro Vulcan bomber, & the Cossak 225 on display, early F-18's, F-15, F-16 !! Airshows are awsome !

Beautiful. Tho you can really tell all the wear and tear on the super hornet yet thanks to the liberals that plane will most likely have to serve for another 30 some years.

Fabulous photography! Wish I could have been there but the airshows don't seem to be as often as before. Last one we attended was in Lethbridge Alberta where the CF-18 piloted by Captain Brian Bewes hit the dirt, during practice. KZfaq has amazing videos. The aircraft was still sitting at the crash site when the airshow was held a few days later.

Thank you! Yeah, I believe the last few Comox airshows pre-2015 were held every other year for a few years. I heard rumours that the Comox airshow will be returning in 2026.

That f-18 has a particular trim set-up an it is dialed in perfectly , I don't see the Blue Angels working it like that , , Plus this was a low ceiling Air show because of the cloud's rolling in all over the place . That pilot gave everyone their money's worth definitely . Big up's to the pilot 😂 WOW !

@nybotor119 күн бұрын
Those vehicles are called beaching gear, and they are essentially 4WD pickups cut in half, where the front wheels become the drive and steering wheels for the platform that carries the planes in and out of the water/

The Boeing Stratotanker I assume is based on the old 707 platform. Can anyone confirm that? I think it is a beautiful airplane
@nybotor120 күн бұрын
Yes, it's based on The Boeing Dash 80, which is essentially the early development of the 707.

Lipstick on a pig is still a pig! Canada's "airforce", sorry I can't stop laughing with I think about it, is a joke flying antiques and used planes.
