No me quedo claro..... el Borax solo se usa para fundir el Oro......????, el mercurio es selectivo y reacciona solo con el Oro y lo amalgama.... y el Borax... que reacción selectiva tiene ahi......???. Alguien que me explique un poco de quimica de los metales por favor.

Why don't they smelt the consecrate vs panning? The heavy metals will drop and the slab will be at the top. Removing the magnet Fe is a good thing to do and could be used easily sections off the sluce or in the mill drum. Cuepeling will oxidized all the base metals and leaves the non oxidizing gold and silver. The two can be separated vs electrolysis. I like the low environmental impact and I use it as well. I'm a retired government research scientist and know certain agencies are assessing back yard refining for heath and environmental impact. So use this method or loss it? I've heard that a license and training hazmat ect maybe in the future In the US and Canada. This will cost money and it's another motivated to stop back yard refiners. If you want to see my lab equipment lot I fabricated and some where tossed out by the same money hungry system LoL
