This was very informative. Thank you so much. My dog has had these issues more recently and has needed his anal glands expressed more frequently at the Vet and although I knew the basics, I really didn't have the extensive understanding that I have now about all there is to know about these conditions until now, thanks to your video. I am very appreciative of your care and dedication to helping animals and their owners. Keep up the good work! 😊

This guys video is for him to make revenue off the views which is awful because there is no need for 13 minutes of what to do to start talking at 4. We just put the eye back in with vaseline or known as petroleum jelly which a vet recommended and held the eye lid shut and held for 3 minutes and went back in. Best of luck this guy blows sm for being a vet

My dog got blood work and removal of some abnormal gum tissue (which turned out to be a slow-growing cancer) removed/biopsied. His liver enzymes are high- the nurse I spoke to said 570; I am so worried for him, & for me. I was going to save up for a motor home and see every state together. The BEST DOG EVER. 💔

Doctor Pete this is really informative. I lost my dog today from parvovirus. But she has a sister. They are both unvaccinated. She has been exposed because they share the same kennel. My question is, is there a chance that her immunity will fight off these viruses even though she's not vaccinated?

Thanks so much for this video. I am all alone since my husband is deployed and I am going through it with my little senior pom. Thank you for helping me to understand. Diabetes is so new to me. He has chronic pancreatitis and I am his 4th owner. He's had so many surgeries. This has been life changing. The insulin is so scary to me but it's for him so I do it! Thanks for helping me navigate this new chapter. ❤

I followed blindly the good advice of my Vets over the years and went along with the spaying etc without regard to the physical effects it was potentially causing to my beloved pets. Until now!. I now have 2 Australian Terrier dogs a boy and a girl, both desexed. My male not only has hypothyroidism but also has Cushings diagnosed at age 7yrs. My girl is struggling with weight at only 3 yrs old despite my efforts to combat it. To remove all the reproductive organs at a young age for my dogs has seen them grow in size much larger than the breed standard, it has led to incredibly expense ongoing costs for my males treatments that has shortened his life span significantly all because I blindly followed so called good advice and best practice. I love my Vets, I still love my Vets despite what happened to my dogs. Now, however, going fwd, I will no be so hasty to rush towards the under the knife solutions. I will wait until they reach FULL maturity and allow the endocrine system to establish a good baseline for my dogs future health. Vets need to learn about alternatives to the standard surgical remedies, perhaps a vasectomy for males and leaving at least an ovary in females for ongoing benefits should be investigated. I think of it this way, would you take your pre teen children to a surgeon and say remove all the reproductive organs? Hell no, you say! But this is in effect what we are doing to our pets. As a responsible pet owner, having this choice pushed onto me by well meaning Vets has now lead to this outcome in my dogs, so having done a massive amount of research into this even my Vet is agreeing more needs to be investigated, all pets and all pet owners are NOT the same, be as holistically minded as we profess to be towrds humans because our pets are as important as any other family member. I have learned a hard lesson that my male especially is bearing the cost of. For me, I will wait a year or so before taking "action" to adress a potential issue in the future and my Vets are ok with this. We need common sense to prevail. The snip is costing pets and pet owner heartbreak both physically and financially......thanks for your video, I hope more action and research follows. 😊

Noticed a big tummy from my 11 year old chihuahua . Went to the vet and he said she had fluid built up in her stomach after doing X-ray and blood work he said there’s a heart problem but doesn’t hear a murmur but whatever is happening in her heart it’s backing up into her liver. Prescribed furosemide, and enalapril. Only for 14 days, if I want more I’ll need to go to a 24/7 hospital for dogs . But that’s even more expensive

It irritates me how he complains about not getting a full info (and simultaneously „indirectly” accuses the vet staff either of withdrawing that info on purpose or being altogether incompetent) when he didn’t even go himself 😤😤 It is so common that owners send their spouses, parents or even kids to the vet and those people don’t know anything about the pet😓😓 Do we look like psychics? Does he have an appointment videotaped? Otherwise how possibly could he know what was actually said and what was not (it also happens a lot - not everything being passed on). So maybe his big conclusion should be „Go to the vet YOURSELF before subjecting your pet to any procedure.” Sincerely

Two months ago, my cocker spaniel mix, female dog she spayed have blood in her urine. I had some Clinda myosin antibiotics and I gave to her twice a day for 14 days and I had tramadol and I gave to her for pain just a while ago. I checked the puppy pad because I have a Yorky that uses puppy pads, and there was P with some bright red blood I did not see my cocker spaniel use the puppy pad but it had to be her. I don’t understand why she’s getting UTIs. She drinks water that is reverse osmosis and she is on science dog food for weight control, and a little bit of fresh pet Dog food she gets twice a day. I know she has been holding her urine and not wanting to go out to potty because she doesn’t like to go out in the rain. I’m just wondering if she’s holding her urine is causing this?

I strongly believe our Doberman has this. Her poop been loose n not long ago mucus-like + little watery blood present. She was on her cycle with a swollen vulva - vet said sacs with pus - pyometry so she need to be neutered asap (MY GOD NOT WITH THAT) said blood test done, NOT A CULTURE - I told my husband I think it's gastrointestinal he said when did I get my vet license. Now that I viewed your video um convinced. Thanks alot I will take her to a different vet.

With my dog’s seizures, my aim of treatment would be to CURE! I refuse to believe that there is nothing we can do beyond pharmaceuticals. Did my research and even in humans they say the aim is to control and not cure BUT if you sesrch deeper, you will find The Charlie Foundation which is an amazing story of epilepsy cure. Question everything and don’t just settle for a limited vision by professionals.
